With the New Year upon us, 2015 brings in a few changes to the Ecko Esports Organisation. We have some exciting times ahead of us, while we also will be saying good bye to some of our favourites.
Leo “ChoboSniper” Lai has been a part of Ecko Esports for a year now, and we have had the most amazing time with him on board. But times have changed, and Leo has gotten a job which sees him travelling to Hong Kong for work. While his time spent in Hong Kong is currently unknown, his work load and ability to play StarCraft 2 will be severely hampered. Therefore we have both mutually decided the best decision is to temporarily say our goodbyes, and hope that one day we have the chance to work together once more. From all the boys from Ecko Esports, we wish you all the best in Hong Kong!
Another departure from the team is long-standing Terran player Kevin “Kreamy” Luangkhoth. After being on Ecko Esports since its birth, as well as a brief time on Frenetic Array, Kevin has decided to hang up the mouse and keyboard, stating a lack of motivation to play the game, as well as finding a part-time job as the main reasons. We will always fondly remember our time together, and hope to continue to see you stream StarCraft 2 from time to time.
In happier news, I am excited to announce that Alan “Apoc” Yan has been promoted from Photographer to Academy Manager. Alan has been working with Ecko Esports for quite some time now, and we believe he has the right attitude and work rate to take on such a responsibility. Hopefully with his inclusion, we will see more of the Academy players in action with Clan Wars and In-house events.
That is all from us at Ecko Esports, we hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and has amazing New Year celebrations. We part with you tonight with something to be hyped about. Enjoy!

Reason: to add sad face for wrecking ball of emotions to twist and contort the reader like a novel like 50 shades of grey
sad to see leo go, he was such a good up and coming zerg player and really had flashes of brilliance. Can't say i'm surprised Kreamy left, been a long time coming really. Awesome seeing Alon moving up in the world. Now all he needs to do is get better at team games and he can be #2 (cause i'm #1, nem said so, must be true).

I'll play in the summer lan as long as the RNG gods do NOT give me the one guy I had spent the last hour discussing tactics/strategy with kekekekekekeke
Farewell to Chobo and Kreamy. I really enjoyed watching their games when they were casted, I wish them good luck in their endeavors!
Thanks guys it's been an amazing few years, I always knew that I can only be competitive in starcraft while I'm still in uni, but I'm still going to miss everyone.
Regarding ecko esports, Jordan has been incredibly supportive throughout, and that has been a key role in making my time here an amazing experience. On the more competitive side, I was added when ecko had incredibly few players, but since the additions of chankim and satu, I feel like ecko has plenty of depth even without me.
I the academy guys as well, they're the best we could've possibly hoped for. They're in the right mindset strategically, and I believe it's inevitable for them to become top players with more experience and more refined mechanics. They simply need to put in the effort and continue their practice.
I was thinking that I'll be able to maintain my skill for a while, but there's simply no time. Not having a computer also doesn't help.
Once again thanks for all the good times we shared, this is a game that changes your world-view, and I'm sure I'll remember it as I apply the lessons I've learnt on improving, on competitiveness, on staying calm, thinking outside the box and most importantly having fun in my future endeavours.
