It gives me great pleasure to announce the forming of Team Mastermind.
We have currently secured five players (with myself managing) in the line up and I will announce them below.
The Team
Caster/Manager Rhys Columbus "PurePhoenix - VulcaN"
Evan Panday Yifan "Evan"
Aged only 16, Evan has had a great deal of success already in his Starcraft 2 career, constantly peforming in clan wars on the SEA server. Recently taking his play to a new level, Evan has laddered on the SEA server where he is a comfortable high-grand master with a 70% win ratio. Evan favors a strong macro style, whilst also boasting great micro and decision making during games.
Vince Rocca "NotoriouS"
Moving to SEA after playing casually for a long time on the NA server, NotoriouS has improved vastly in the several months he has been here. Joining as a platinum level player, Vince steadily rose to master league, which is when he became serious about the game and began training hard and constantly.
Alex Welford "Bard"
With incredible game knowledge and strong commitment to Starcraft 2, Bard is a name known to many. With a strong style in all three match ups, Bard adds great macro depth in his games. Capable of dominating the SEA scene if he can commit to playing, he is a player who will represent the team soundly.
Wilson Mun "FlyingBanana"
A relatively unknown player, FlyingBananna has recently become interested in playing competetively. A high GM with a great win loss ratio, Wilson has proven he can go with the best of SEA. Ready to begin tearing up the competetive scene, FlyingBananna reached round 4 of the wT Weekly Community Open #15 going down valiantly versus iaguz. There is great potential for FlyingBananna , only 17 years of age, to succeed in the future and we are sure you will hear more about him soon
James Jiang "WeTheBest"
WeTheBest is a strong Z player. Sitting around rank 30 on the SEA GM ladder constantly throughout this season, WeTheBest has proven himself a strong force as a Zerg in the SEA scene. With the constant pressure of being involved in a competitive team as well as the opportunity to enjoy numerous practice opportunities, WeTheBest will certainly develop into a dominant part of Team Mastermind and the SEA server.
Ashley Cox “Frustration”
The third protoss on to the team, Frustration hails from Australia and completes a trio of high level grandmasters protoss with loads of potential. Sitting at top 8 SEA GM and boasting an impressive record, Ashley will be a welcome addition to the Mastermind roster. With the added bonus of a team full of strong players to practice against, Frustration will surely be a strong force on the Mastermind roster.
Sponsors
We are not actively searching for sponsors at this stage as we feel it is of importance to make an impact in the competitive environment before doing so. If you would like to discuss how sponsoring the team may be of value to your company in the future, please contact me via email.
Contact
The team will have a website which will begin construction shortly. In the mean time, feel free to PM any of the players or myself through SC2SEA or email me at purephoenix1@gmail.com. Alternatively if you wish to speak to any of our players, we often communicate in the Starcraft 2 Chat Channel "Team Mi". Feel free to join at any stage!
Aims
The aims of the team is to be very competitive and ladder frequently to represent the clan positively. We will focus on online tournaments more than LAN tournaments at this stage due to the barrier of having international players. Both type of tournaments however will be strongly encouraged for our players.
That's all to add at this stage, thanks for reading!
Aged only 19, Matt surely has potential to take down the big names of SEA, in the past he was a full time student and played part time sc2. He recently quit his university and is now focusing all his energy on becoming the best player on the earth. He is the new zergbong, an apprentice of the spirits and appreciates the fine arts of life. His game knowledge resembles the best players in the business and is known for giving great players in SEA advice on how to become better. His achievements include round 2 in ACL loser bracket and GPD finalist.

We are currently only looking for Grandmasters players to make up our team, however I appreciate and value the feedback and suggestions from someone of your caliber
