Recap:
5 Qualifiers over two months of grueling competition finally culminated in the Grand Finals held at Alienware Arena yesterday. With many teams training hard and even holding week long boot camps, the competitive level in the Singapore Starcraft scene was at a all time high. The open bracket saw FlashKyzer, DM.Polaris, DeathlyJo and EveKunnie emerge as the last finalist in the top 16 group stage.
After a random live draw the group stages were held with tightly contested groups in a GSL style 5 match format.
Meanwhile, the spectators who came to watch were treated to free Redbull, coaching lessons from aLtCure and lucky draws with over $400 in prizes!

The top 2 from each group made it to the round of 8 bracket. In the first round, group winner and favourite FlashdraKe was drawn against his teammate FlashBlysk who finished 2nd in his group, behind FlashRevenant. Unfortunately for draKe, PvT was Blysk's best matchup and he was able to knock the tournament favourite out. FlashRevenant who had been inactive for a while due to national service commitments displayed a strong performance knocking out DM.Blackstar and DM.Proann both 3-1 to meet EveYekke in the finals. EveYekke's road to the finals was through beating FlashVeno 3-0 and then FlashBlysk in a very tense series 3-2.
In the end EveYekke was able to beat Revenant "for the first time in a tournament", taking home the gold with a 4-2 score. Grats to DM.EveYekke and FlashRevenant, who will be representing Singapore in the regional Grand Finals in August against the best Malaysian, Thai and Filipino players.
