Preview:City Hunter's SCII Kingston Comp #2
Hi Guys
Here’s my quick preview of the City Hunter Starcraft II Kingston Comp #2.
Kerrigan’s Minions
Throughout the world the masses are crying “Terran OP” but here in SEA the mighty Terran quiver in fear over the swarm, this tournament we’ll likely see a Zerg or two (or even 3) on the podium once again.
MOOnGLaDe
For nearly a decade one name and two syllables have had RTS fans creaming their jeans, he’s name is MOOnGLaDe he has sexy long hair and its alot easier to count his loses then he’s wins. He’ll go into this tournament as a favourite but a recent 4th in the Australian Qualifier of PPSL (Thanks to a couple of mighty Terrans) assures us he’s going to have to work damn hard for it. Moonglade participated in the 1st ever SC II Tournament held at City Hunter (and the 1st LAN to be held in Australia) and took Gold, can get do it again?
GOSutgun
Prior to Glades surprise sign up to this competition tgun was my pick for the gold. Tgun is amazingly yet to obtain at gold at a offline tournament, with the added motivation of having placed 2nd behind Glade at the WCG Australian National’s Tgun is no doubt out for revenge! This will also be tgun’s first offline appearance since joining Its GOSu Esports! Tgun vs Glade will no doubt be the game of the series.
TtPiG
On a server dominated by Zergs, PiG is the one Terran’s and Protoss alike look to the take out his own kind, with a recent 1st in the IEM:GZ SEA Qualifier and 1st in WCG: Brisbane Qualifier, PiG begun turning heads eventually being picked up by Tt Esports, He took a 3rd at WCG Australia and is one to watch out for in this tournament!
xGKingMaFia
MaFia comes into this event having won the previous two City Hunter SCII LANs (City Hunter’s Kingston Comp 1 and City Hunter’s SCII 1st Anniversary Festival), while he’s online performance dont always show how good he really is keep in mind he also picked up 1st and both the Beyond Gaming LAN and the Gigabyte Invitational as well as 3rd in the SEA/ANZ Battle.net Invitationals MaFia returns to another offline event to defend he’s crown.
Raynor's Raiders
Many have faltered under the parasitic infestation of the Zerg in SEA, but a few good men remain. Luckily two of SEA’s mightiest warriors journey to City Hunter, our fate now lies in the hands of a Dwarf from the West and a Stallion whoms origins can be traced to the Mediterranean Isles.
ArchMSIRossi
Rossi is arguably the strongest Terran is SEA right now with strong results in both Online and Offline tournaments, he recently travelled to Manila to participate in IGN ProLeague Season 4/Pacific Qualifiers beating Glade and TargA to secure he’s spot, he boast the most SC2SEA Community Open Wins (5) and has done well in previous City Hunter LANs (2nd at both the City Hunter Summer Tournament and the City Hunter Charity Tournament). Can Rossi take he’s 1st Offline Gold?
xGKingIaguz
Iaguz with his mighty axe is the most consistent Terran on the server and like Rossi he is yet to take a offline Gold! Iaguz has a firm rivalry with Glade many ask where it all started, well it was August 2010 SCII was released a mere month ago, City Hunter held an epic Tournament dubbed “City Hunter SCII Festival” There Iaguz took the 1st of what was to be many 2nd places at the hands of Glade. A 2nd in Dox Cup #1, and WCG:City Hunter Sydney Qualifier (again thanks to Glade as well as a 4th in WCG Nationals (Tgun and PiG the culprites this time) as well as a handful of 1st and 2nds in SC2SEA Community Opens proves Iaguz strength in both offline and online events, can Iaguz channel the power of he’s Dwarven forefathers to overcome the Zerg? Only time will tell.
Alone for Auir
For close to a year now one Protoss has stood alone on the SEA server against the masses of Zergs and the Strength of the Terran Armies, In recent times Pinder has emerged from the snow and Bliesko has become more involved in online comps but Light still remains our best hope to keep the flame of Auir Alive.
xGKingLight
Light is no stranger to City Hunter LAN events taking 1st Place in the City Hunter Charity Tournament and a 2nd in the City Hunter SCII 1st Anniversary Festival, a 4th Place in the Gigabyte Invitational (VIC), 3rd in the WCG:Brisbane Qualifier (QLD) , a 2nd at NRG (NSW) as well as being the only Protoss to be invited to the SEA/ANZ Battle.net Invitational, together with back to back CO wins (19 and 20) prove Light’s title as “The best Protoss in SEA” is well justified and almost certainly we’ll see Light in the Finals once more
My Predictions
1st- Glade
2nd- Tgun
3rd- Iaguz or PiG
P.S the Final will be Streamed by xGKingBenji, I'll update this post very soon with info regarding that

I think Rossi might have taken a step to breaking his LAN hoodoo after his experiences at PPSL. Playing in trying conditions against top tier players is going to give him a huge confidence boost in the offline world that he is usually a little shaky in. Also lots of inspiration and motivation
Tgun too will want to impress his new team.
