My personal view is the more exposure and international interest in SEA events + players the better.
Players who have their own accounts, and actually play on ladder, eg gts are awesome, and hopefully we see more international players come to SEA soon. Not sure about lending people accounts for tournaments.
However, the descriptions of Major's behaviour is appualing. If the rules aren't clear, fair enough, you ask the Admin, then respect their ruling. Smurfing, and the abuse following is pathetic.
I shall also issue a ban of sixjaxmajor to all my Masters Cups, and any future SEA tournaments i may run.
At the end of the day, sure you may want to win a few $'s, but rules and rules, and most people just play for fun, no one should be allowed to ruin it deliberately for others.
I'm not sure about Gerlan.au's/sayfT's involvement, and if should be punished, but did seem a decent member of the community before today, so perhaps a stern warning, rather then total ban might be the way to go. But depends on how much he knew/deliberately assisted in breaking the rules.

^ This.
Dox is doing a great thing, and i hope this doesn't have a negative impact on his great work and passion for the community.
This whole charade can be seen as a big lesson learned and something gained rather than a very negative experience and bad reputation.
MajOr's actions are pathetic and frowned upon but even after asking Dox last minute and being denied, to start to abuse him while he's putting an ENORMOUS amount of time, effort and $$ into this is seriously just....sad. There's no other way to put it, it's sad.
For future tournaments in SEA it will definitely be a big +++ if foreign pro's enter but if you denied permission just let it go. As for gerlan some sort of punishment should be given out. As always that's up to the admins.
Life lessons learned:
1-Obey the rules, there's always going to be tournaments you can't compete in
2-I'm officially a Dox fanboy for standing up to him and laying down the law to MajOr
3-MajOr hasn't hit puberty yet

The matter with Gerlan is he never bothered consulting Dox. If he is really innocent in all this, why would he not say anything when Dox or someone questioned the legitimacy of sayIF's gameplay during the tournament? Usually when pros play on a separate account, you'd see something like Chuck (HuK) indicating that HuK was the one actually playing so credit goes to HuK rather than Chuck if HuK ends up winning the tournament. In this case however, it seemed that someone questioned Major during the tournament and he never admitted. Where is Gerlan during this whole incident? Granted he couldn't log into his account but surely he could have seen what was going on in the stream and he could have mentioned something there.
He may as well be completely innocent and naive (as well as being away during the WHOLE tournament whilst someone is smurfing using his account) but for those questioning Dox's decision to ban Gerlan as well, consider what I just said. Or YOU can fork out your own $500, half-miss a rule (it wasn't written in the TL thread but was shown in the screenshot by Nirvana, so half...) and deal with a douche like major. Let's see how generous you really are.
@pikk0n if you can't admit to criticism/mistakes, handle abusive or ungrateful participants, or apply rules unjustly then you are better off not running tournaments no matter how much cash you're contributing.
Not saying that is the case for Dox of course as I know he has talked to garlan about it and isn't acting on spur of the moment emotion but for those trying to justify any action as 'anything goes because it's his money' that is ridiculous when you are saying it in the same sentence as improving or helping the scene or community.
This thread has run its course and the discussion is no longer constructive/productive.
After reading all of the above posts, some conclusions are clear.
1. sixjaxMajor is obviously in the wrong
2. gerlan.au was wrong to have lent major his account
3. Dox has the support of the community for his decisions (and rightly so)
Why bother screwing around with the admins/rules? So let's move on to more pleasant and constructive stuff.

Life is short, why waste it on sleep.
Okay, so the event is finally over and I've had a chance to catch up on this thread. Unfortunately it was locked, but after reading some of the replies suggesting that "MajOr was mislead", I'd like to direct your attention to the two posts below.

Thanks to everyone who participated and I apologise to those who were eliminated from the event by MajOr before we were able to identify that Gerlan had shared his account in a cash tournament.
Despite these cheaters damaging the integrity of the event, I think it was still a reasonable success.
