I just thought I'd link these here if anyone is interested, I did a set of YouTube videos focusing on a strategic analysis of the 4 new maps in the 1v1 Ladder Pool for SC2 Season 3.

I would especially like to hear any thoughts on the best 3rd base location on Deadwing, I've had some disagreements with my assessment already so would love to hear more thoughts.
Good analysis of base positions. LE = Ladder Edition.
Reaper Foxtrot: I feel that this is a very interesting map. The bottom left/top right bases are actually pretty good for reapers because of how wide the cliff is.
The top left/bottom right expansions are the most interesting; if you notice carefully, behind the gas geysers of the natural expansion (pipe areas) there is another opening for reapers to jump. I believe the Reaper backdoor also works as there is an obvious path leading to it.
Deadwing: Good wide ramp with extra cliff, but very predictable entry. Strong defender's advantage with distance too. Gonna veto this xD
Nimbus: Worst map for reaper. Single tight entrance to main, difficult to even scout expansion.
I didn't realize the maps were already published; tried them out and the cliffs I mentioned works. I really like how they're starting to promote aggressive plays by the small map size and more openings. It looks harder for Zerg compared to last season.
