So in just under 3 days time we have the Australian launch of Heart of the Swarm and we will wave goodbye to Wings of Liberty! So I thought I would create a thread where we can put our best or worst memories and experiences of WoL and generally reflect on what has been a time of great change in the esports scene and gaming in general.
I want this to be a generally positive thread, but don't be afraid to QQ about something you hated. But you will feel bad. And we won't.
For me my best experiences were competing in tournaments for the first time, both online and at LANs. I'll never forget how nervous I was in my first match at ACL Gold Coast, but I loved it!
Best: nearly getting out of groups at acl brisbane and spectating wcs. Worst: ACL Melbourne.
QQing: Banshees. Everytime those mofos outrange my spore crawlers by 1 ******* hex I want to kill myself.
Best: Beating NaNiwa
-also beating value in g1 of that wt finals and seeing spartaz in chat saying "holy shit has he really got this"or something to that effect.
- Meeting lots of new people be it thru sc2 or barcrafts
Worst: -
QQ: if hots stays similiar to how it is now, im outties, not having fun with this game atm
GreekBest: Beating PoxJerg with my T MUAHHHAHHAHAH HOWMOD
Honestly my best experience was just being a part of this community. Thank you to all the SC2SEA members and ETL boys who made my time here so meaningful.

Best Experience(s) :
Playing the awesome epic team games.
Having that sense of achievement when u beat hard strats (to me at least).
Getting to know people and making friends from different countries (first new rts game in 6 years so yeah was refreshing to see how much had changed)
Knowing and being part of mGG and this community
Worst Experience(s) :
Meeting BM ppl who BM or just spam unpleasanties.

Best:
Meeting and being a part of this community, watching myself develop, having a chance to be on the more team creation and management side, dealing with sponsors etc etc
Worst:
Losing silly games in tournaments, getting dropped by drop hackers//hacking in general

Best of WoL: Probably finding Sc2sea and in terms meeting my fellow ToR members. Definitely the highlight of Wings for me
Proudest Moment: Beating DanO with my
Not so great: Going inactive for 4 months, because my graphics drivers were bugging out TT
Been a crazy WoL, of which only really the last year I have been active.
Just realised today I have almost been on SC2SEA for a year (13-March).
So many great moments for me in the last year and not a lot of bad moments. WCS was definitely the highlight for me and in all honesty I think the not so great moment was not being able to ladder as much as I wanted to due to work.
Community be pretty amazing so thanks to you all for your support of me and everybody else!
WoL. i had never played starcraft before this, i had wrote off rts games as a thing of the 90's. its showed me how much fun and in depth a game can be. WoL will always have a special place in my heart, it brought me into a community of amazing people, and the best weekend of last year was going to WCS and meeting aussie pros and just having a great time. thanks to justice and mattyb for helping me play this game and teaching me how to play.
Best moment: was probably when i finally beat justice or mattyb in a 1v1, all the hard work paying off finally and i was on par with my teachers xD
Proudest moment: Snorkelling a beer on stream.
worst moment: getting cocky and trying to do another snorkel and vomiting.
Best Memories:
Fighting my way from Bronze to Silver,
Joining SC2SEA and Fusion Slugs!
Meeting some fantastic people in BarCraft in Molly Malone's couple years ago and IEM 2012 and other events.
(Bryan Nirvana, Sean Flamga whom I played UT against in IEM, Antelope, YongMing, Chadmann, etc)
Worst: Getting Cheesed in my very first Match in the ladder.
Missing out on every single BSG Open because of Commitments Would love to see a change since I can't get out of BSG for a long time.

Best tournament memory:
OxygeN knocking out mOOnGLaDe in the first Blizzard SEA invitational. Which meant I played oxygen in the WB SF instead of glade!
Worse Tournament Memory:
Losing to oxy too lol
Best memory:
Being the top protoss finisher in all the major tournaments for the first 6 months or so
Getting cast by Husky and HDStarcraft way back in the day
Winning with aLt in SEAL 2
Being able to beat pig with random stalker builds lol
Worse memory:
probably all the drama that wasted our time, thankfully most of them have left our community!
Best: All the friendships, rivalries, dramas, stories, being a part of clans, teams, communities over the past 2 years. Also, actually being able to compete at a video game at a high level was something I didn't see myself doing.
Worst: Everything I had to give up in my personal life when I started to try to get better at StarCraft. Also the long struggle of Protoss during 2011-2012 was hard to swallow.
Best Experience: Thinking that I had gotten 100% of achievements in the campaign. Worst Experience: Realizing that there were still the Lost Viking achievements.
Best: Meeting really great people online and offline, some of which are really good mates in my personal life now. The fact that i met people that shared my love for the game. Also have to do the shoutout for WCS, one of if not THE greatest experience's of my life. I love you all
Worst: My internet problems/computer dying, as well as my inability to win PvP causing my loss of motivation for SC2 right when i feel like i was improving the most and felt like i was getting half decent.
Oh and also my habit of choking after being 1-0 up in tournament games/throwing 'Won' games in important situations/LANs

The best.
Winning a hard fair game. Doesn't matter the rank. But a victory u have to fight tooth and nail for, that leaves your heart pounding and palms sweaty. A win that requires u to take a breather at the end, to relax and calm yourself. There is no other feeling like that.
Best :-
crux - meeting awesome people and getting a lot better at this game people like delete, NXz, Doc, Erasmus, Eldrid (RIP) really helped this.
learning this game - was fun.
WCS NZ - some great memories from the afterparty and doing better than i was expecting as hadn't trained much
aLt - best clan sea idc about the bashing i love the chat everyone is awesome and would happily have a beer with (incoming 2013...)
xGKing - Benji and Arnor are absoulutely amazing to xeria and are worth their wieght in gold them
Worst :-
crux - disbandment T_T
learning this game - FML could be a bitch
WCS NZ - losing still hurts even when not expecting to win
SQL - by far the biggest dissappointment a team could've been, although in saying this got to know HuT and ninja a bit better, Hut's work ethic still makes me feel bad how little i play.
Best: finding this site, attending LANs, meeting players in person at said LANs, joining Time of Rising when it first formed and starting to do well in tournaments towards the end of WoL
But most of all, getting my fiancé into Starcraft even though she had never played a computer game ever.
This is a great community and this site is great which I love to procrastinate from work on.
Worst: losing my only sealcl 3 match on the day of the big patch from what I blame to be lack of practice (due to patch) and a glitched drone which I continueously tried to expand with (due too patch)

Best memory: Realising typing in circlejerk.com redirects to sc2sea.com
Worst memory: "CTRL + F TGUN LOLOLOL ONLY GUN READ IF IT GET MENTIONED" in every blog ever.
I have a lot of great memories from Wings. Even though I will not be purchasing Hots, I am very pleased with how Wings shaped the last couple of years of my time here in Melbourne
From the early days of being a recent immigrant to Australia with little else to do but grind games at Cydus every night after work to get to diamond. After that hitting the LAN scene and meeting up with and subsequently joining TA, meeting some amazing people in the process, it all made me feel like I was settled in my new life. The times we had, especially at the bigger events like WCS, really made me feel proud to be a starcraft player, I also felt better about coming to this country and starting a new life all over. I felt pretty settled.
Masters was the biggest promotion, the huge rush since it took the most amount of work comparatively and felt like an accomplishment, GM was a bit of a formality when it happened but still felt great. I liked laddering on SEA at one time and enjoying the metagaming and tame BM. It was all a bit of fun really. Some of the more fun memories involve inter clan 'BM' with irrational and hilarious rivalries springing up for literally no reason.
WORST:
Probably the day I went back to Cydus a couple of months ago and laddered my GM account for like 10 hours, it was nice to go back to my beginnings, but I realised then WoL was over for me and wasnt really all that fun anymore, and didn't really play much more after that except for little bits of beta and at LANS sometimes.
Thats pretty much it I guess, rape my face, pip pip pot of tea etc
Best:
Being a part of eSports, the SC2 community and meeting new people, be it from joining Flash/iRL/SC2SEA
Watching myself improve from the bottom of bronze league
Winning my first local LAN in December
Worst:
Deciding to proxy barracks Revenant and Blysk during the TGS LAN when both series were tied 1-1.. that was a terrible way to be eliminated
