DayCraft is a user-created monthly tournament with the goals being the promotion and revitalization of the StarCraft2 scene in Japan. Its mission is to create an environment where Japanese SC2 beginners are not afraid to enter a tournament, and for players of all levels and nations to interact and communicate with the Japanese SC2 scene. A notable point is that there is a "participation prize" as part of the prize pool in the form of cash (for everyone) or merchandise (for players residing in Japan), whose winner is chosen randomly among all participants.
===Tournament Information===
All participants must be fluent enough in Japanese for smooth communication during the tournament with the tournament committee. (If you aren't, you can still enter and play given that you have a friend fluent in Japanese who can be your interpreter during the tournament.)
Participants must be ready to provide Skype and e-mail information for pre/post-tournament communication purposes, as well as enter the designated chat channels specified by the committee during the course of the tournament.
Note for foreign players: cash prizes will be awarded via PayPal, but due to shipping costs you will be ineligible for the physical participation prizes.
===Format===
Open bracket, single elimination Bo3 across all matches.
No race changes mid-tournament are allowed.
===Map Pool Details===
Maps used will be those used for the current (or most recent) ladder season.
Top player of bracket vetoes one map, then bottom player vetoes two maps, and lastly top player vetoes second map.
Bottom player picks a map from the remaining three maps, and loser picks maps thereon.
===Time and Prizepool===
1st Place - 5000 yen
2nd Place - 3000 yen
3rd Place - 1000 yen
(Please note, the participation prize mentioned in the TL and JP page apply only to Japanese residents)
Event Date: August 22 2015
Starting time: SG: 6pm JP: 7pm KR: 7pm AEST: 8pm
NB: there should be no conflict with Masters Cup, which starts at 11am AEST

got further info from the admin (server played will be KR, so think about ping)
4 points for non-JP participants (which would be you guys) to make admin's life easier -
1) email DayCraft1(at)yahoo(dot)co(dot)jp with the following after signing up so we know who you are:
player name / bnet tag / rank / race / skype id / who your interpreter is
(if it's NOT me include email address+skype id of interpreter)
2) please stay in the specified skype chat group once tourney checkin begins (admins will let you know once checkin starts) as any troubleshooting during the tournament involving "foreigners" will be dealt in said chat group.
3) please seek admins for decisions if some trouble not specified in the rules occur
4) match winner is responsible for entering results on challonge (i'm double-checking if we're doing replays this tourney or not)
hope to see you guys there! (rip sleep for me, coz i just realized this is right before HIAT)

1) if you don't send the head admin an email with your contact info (see #4 in this thread), you will be DQ'd.
2) if you don't check in via challonge between 18:00 and 19:00 JST (i.e. starts in roughly 1h and ends in 2h from this post), you will be DQ'd.
3) once the head admin (style) receives said email, he will add you to his skype and then add you to the foreigner skype group chat, and you will be informed of the SC2-KR chat channel there. the foreigner group chat is where ALL problems are resolved.
4) replay uploads are mandatory but not on challonge. details on where to upload replays will be posted in the foreigner skype group chat along with SC2 in-game chat channel info.
so, yeah, send that email and don't forget to check in.
glhf boyz! (i'll be watching main stream)
