Thanks Frog, in his version he snuck in an extra map win for TA.. so nice. But also took off a loss for QED.. this is why we don't let froggy run the T5 tables >.<
Also, Perth Penguins are not AsG -_-
Just a note of the league table - it is the team managers job to make sure weekly results are reported and updated correctly. At the end of the season I will be asking each team manager to check the weekly thead results add up correctly to the overall table (Links to each week can be found in the T5 Thread) - it will be the responsibility of each team manager to check for these errors.

What an interesting last week we have had. Usually i go down the list in recapping the games for the week, but this week i think i will start from the bottom:-
TA [4] def Fusion Slugs [2]
A fusion slugs team without BenAD was defeated by TA, no massive surprises here. with Chadman and Minimat in the team, i always thought TA would get at least three points, but when you look at the score you see that the Slugs could have got a lucky draw against the top of the table team. I have said before i was excited to see the bronze random vs random of SonsofTundra vs Kalikah, but it appears that Kalikah played zerg. Still SonsOfAnarchy got 1 game in a losing cause, and if only that third game had gone his way, maybe we would have been talking about the 3-3 draw. Dele beating Rogue is a good result for the Slugs, and Zomgrofl, while winning no naming contest, was good enough to get through TAEaron ( a league higher, but it was zvz)
The Ta juggernaught continues and this week became the only undefeated team in the comp. the Slugs season of "really close, only one or two more game going our way would have changed it" continues. There have been so many times i have said "the slugs could have got the points if they had just won another point". but dont worry slugs, use the experience to smash them next season.
HoH [3] draw Fade [3]
While Fade have had the weirdest season of them all, getting into a great position and stealing those draws is starting to show off - a respectable 7 points to be within striking distance of 5th. It is hard to get excited for a team that has that man draws, we have once again seen a really good performance by Welshy and deadpixel. When you look at the tier 5 names for long enough, you see the guys that are winning a heap, and Welshy and deadpixel feel to me that they have been doing the job all season long. Could one of you Fade guys give me a hand and post the season stats for your players?
But this was a great game for HoH to sneak in the draw, as it doubles the team score for the wooden spoon. While two points is a rough season, it is the same score that TCP are on. get a win or two, and suddenlt that 2 points turns into 8, and you are back in the hunt. Venom once again gets the points when it matters, smashing through psynapse 2-1. Venom has lost a game in SEACL, but i dont think it was PvZ - somethin tells me that is one of his better matchups.
Overall, a great result for two teams that didnt deserve a loss this week.
QED Krrn [2] def Perth Penguins [4]
This was one of the more contraversial matches of the week, with Moosable getting a walkover because his opponent was unable to play thursday. I dont really have much to say on the situation, it was all resolved before i found out about it - but grats to Krrn for being such a baller and accepting the decision, i know that if i was the leader of this QED team, i would have been much more unreasonable. Add to that, Krrn beat a gold to secure one of the two points for his team (against a guy a league higher), it shows that he can play as well as be really manner. Krrn has been manner throughout this season, and i for one am really glad to have him in the comp. The diamond match of no 4 would also have been a goodun with schnitzel beating MrCrow 2-0, i bet he didnt think he would go down like that when the teams were being submitted.
But this week is about the penguins. drama aside, they got three points without having to play that game, and at the very least deserved a draw (if not the win). Head was able to beat the very good Jenkins, and Frisco got through Cottonmouth that i always see practicing.
I really like the Perth Penguins. Although they have had a loss to the MIxed Lollies, if they can beat Zerocraft and TA on the way home, there is a chance for them to win the entire season. But that is because...
ToR [4] def QED Mixed Lollies
I know this is the match you want me to write about, a massive underdog defeating a team that suddenly looked like it was going to smash the entire comp. It cannot be understated what ToR did last thursday - they beat a team that drew with TA, beat Perth Penguins, and smashed Zerocraft. Where last week i said that the Mixed Lollies were pound for pound tougher than Zerocraft, JoFritzMD beating Fridge is what has set this win up.
Aside - how did jofritz get so good?
I really like the tier 5 competition. The fact that every single active player in the Zerocraft team has been promoted shows that you give players a chance to talk and something to compete in each week, they will get better. There have been plenty of guys that have done it this season, Schnitzel, clsSmoooooth, Navic, guys that have really got better in both skill and division through the season, and JoFritzMD is no exception. Add that he has sponsored the tournament, and you have to ask - did he pay that money to get better himself and drag us all up with him? He has given 11 teams of BSG players a chance to play each week for something they want to win. And it really is different to the BSG league each saturday night, because a loss in this is much MUCH worse than getting knocked out of a tournament. You havent only let yourself down, you've let the team down. Some players have dealt with it and got promoted and put in amazing efforts, some have gone inactive. But it is what makes out little tier of the competition so good - we all started out with BSG teams, and now we have what - SGP teams? We have as a league moved up a single division, all driving each other to get better - which i think is pretty special.
But back to Tor QED
Upwaiting and ReverseCure are both fantastic - and it was on the back of these players i predicted that Mixed Lollies would get home. Breadfan's win must have been a good'un, i know his TvZ is pretty good, but didnt understand it was good enough to get through Cold. Beware fellow teams playing Breadfan, AsGChobo has been coaching old breadfan - if he ever stops playing 2v2 i really think he will get to plat and diamond pretty fast.
The loss by QED Mixed sweets really opens up the competition for the top 4. As i said above, the losses of Zerocraft and Perth Penguins to them really means a little less now. If they finish the season undefeated both of those teams could get into second if not first.
QED mixed lollies have now let their fate on the ladder be decided by the other teams - it now depends on the zerocraft, TA and Perth Penguins games. I know that no team likes to leave their fate in other people's hands, but at the same time good on QED for giving everyone a go. It is a fun competition after all, and even if they finish second instead of first, the QED Mixed Lollies team has so much to be proud of this season.
But then we talk about ToR, whose season has suddenly come alight. Can they continue the run against Zerocraft this week - if so they will be considering moving into the top 5, and will take massive momentum into next season given where their season could have possible ended.
Zerocraft [4] def VB_Sober soldiers[2]
You see the game score and think "oh yeah no surprise here" until you realise that it was 2-2 in game score after thursday night, with the Ace game to be played on Sunday, Mazei vs Dead. Although it was plat vs gold, Dead was in fantastic form, and Mazei hasnt been playing so much due to commitments outside of starcraft. Although it was a 2-0 score, i know there were a lot of very nervous people in Zerocraft, people that were secretly praying that we wouldnt have our second loss in successive weeks. But Mazei is a boss zerg, and got us home
there were a heap of good games this week in the matchup, with Zeffrin taking out Rythos (who has won really big games for us in the past), and zeffrin was a league lower than Rythos. Talking to him after one game, Rythos said "i was ahead on tech, and macroing better i thought, we engaged but then suddenly my army was gone". That is usually the sign that your opponent is pretty handy - maybe there are big things in store for zeffrin if he sticks with it. The other PvP king this week was Unique beating Etheryu who also has great PvP results. Not a massive surprise here, as Unique is hella good, but Etheryu is pretty good also - woudl have been a great match
But then we have the winners for zerocraft - arnor who is still undefeated this season i think with like 5-0 match score, and SmokyMcPot doing the job leading us out. Smoky has been away for the first half of the season, and we are hoping he has plenty of juice in the tank to finish off strong for us winning plenty more games
Interesting side note - Mazei is probably out for the rest of the season, leaving Zerocraft with 3 plats max, one of which is on holidays. i think ToR has a good shot of winning thursday night depending on the team we can rustle together, but with DoT also having the rest of the season off, we are suddenly getting really tight for players. might be time for the analyst to step up and start winning a game or two?

I was amazed when I played Cold in match one. I did everything right with my opening, I did a ton of damage early, but somehow he came back and won it with his distinct mutalisk-less style. A bit rattled at having lost a game where I played so strongly, I went on to take the second game, game 3 came down to the wire. I 5 raxed him and he held it (he picked a 2 player map which I thought meant some sort of bane bust was incoming), however I managed to do just enough damage that we were about even, and we desperately scrambled to recover our games. My gut felt heavy as I started to realise that I was turtling up on 2 bases, he was doing everything right to deny my 3rd. I was losing. When my natural was just about mined out, I decided to do one last desperation push and hopefully secure an expansion on its back. I managed to catch his army unaware and killed off his ultras, and all of a sudden all he had was drones. I honestly feel like I stole that series, Cold played extremely well has by far the strongest ZvT I've come across
Im very proud of my slugs, its great to see them gettings win and gaining confidence. Im sure one week soon we are all going to be in the zone and pull off an upset draw or win
