I am diamond now and changed my race in HotS. I was a GM terran in WoL but that was 2 years ago, now I am a Diamond Protoss. If I am eligible to play then sign me up.

We are not looking at WOL league/rankings anymore. As long as you fulfil the criteria listed in the eligibility tab above (please read it), you are eligible to play in the GPD. You have to click the 'join tournament' button that will prompt up to the sign up page. You can also send your highest/active bnet profile link to myself or in this thread for verification.

of course not As long as you fulfil the eligibility requirements in the links above, laddering regularly and still not , you are still most welcome to participate. I'm sure the other players will find it a challenge to bring you down
On a different matter...
The criteria for players who have achieved but who remain the next season as or below despite laddering actively, to be eligible to participate by skipping a ladder season of GPD opens was to allow these ex masters to return to compete actively. This will remain unchanged.
However, we are also aware that the ladder season has become longer (more than the usual 2 months cycle) because it has been aligned with WCS seasons (iirc). As such there are some players who have achieved the last season briefly, but has been placed as and has yet to achieve again despite actively laddering.
After much thought, we have decided to allow these players to appeal to be included in the GPD opens without waiting for the next ladder season (which is end November and still a long way off).
Players who are in this category should pm myself mGGNemesis and attach their bnet profile links by the FRIDAY before each GPD Open. Each case will be discussed with the admins as we will look at match history, career history and no. of games played this season etc before deciding. The list of permitted players will be posted in the thread on Saturday. Such players will also receive a reply pm by Saturday.
We will review and refine this process as we go along. But this will begin for this coming GPD Open so interested players can pm me from now till Friday 19 September.
Admins decision will be final but this will be an on going process we hope to keep GPD true to being GPD as much as possible and as competitive as well to ensure that we have a high quality tournament.

Enak is an example of a player in this situation. We want to remain as objective and fair as possible. I am sure there are other players in similar situations but lesser known to the community.
So if you know someone in this situation/category who would still want to participate in the GPD opens but is unable to do so because the season has yet to end and hence has to wait for another 2 months before it resets, please inform such players to get in touch with me. This ladder season has been rather long and we would like to review to allow these players.
It will be based on career history, level of laddering activity, match history etc. Players should be honest and truthful e.g. no secret 2nd account which is / etc.

Just a reminder to read and check the eligibility for the tournament ^_^
We are always excited to see more new names and more people participating in this. (Yes! Please get more people to participate and get involved) If you are new to the tournament or site, would much appreciate if you can send via pm or by posting in this thread, your bnet profile link for your most active (laddering) account (on any server). Any of the admins might approach you in game for that information as well so dont be too alarmed when that happens
Reminder that if you are or on other accounts and servers, you are not eligible for this tournament.
If you have not signed up, sign up now!!
