[HoTS Contest]Adopt A Lost Soul + A Lyrical Rendition of "Nightmoves"
I am a lost soul, one with a wound that is filled with salt each and every day. I play on NA.
There is, however, light at the end of this forsaken tunnel. I have been blessed with an opportunity to move to Melbourne, Australia for law school in January. The moment I was given an offer to attend Melbourne my immediate thoughts were: The SEA Server.
I have met members of your wonderful SEA family on twitter. Duckville, ReereSC, Sunset, and Ziggy to name a few. I remember when ReereSC hit GM last season. I wanted to give him a highfive, but I could not because I am shackled by the restraints of NA. I remember watching as much of WCSAustralia as I could while reading the tweets of Sunset who had made the trip and was clearly having the time of her life. WCS-NA? When was that again?
But I still have a shard of hope. My move to Melbourne in January will bring me closer to these Esport gods and goddesses that populate the Oceanic world. No longer will I have to watch from afar. I have signed up for many HoTS beta key contests. However, any key from an NA organization will prolong my ties to the very place I am set to leave, I will not accept their petty gifts. A beta key from SC2SEA would begin my transformation and allow for me to be reborn. I will board the plane in January knowing that the key I received from you was not just a key to play Heart of the Swarm, it was instead a key to a new beginning.
Should you welcome me into your family with such a generous gift, I will dedicate my retweet button to @SC2SEA so that my spambot filled list of 225 followers will hear the good word. The news must be spread, I know I am not the only one pleading for escape.
Fast forward 18 years, there is a Legacy of the Void beta contest. I will then be able to speak of the epic memories I have of Oceanic Esports to my children. I can only hope each story begins with, "Once upon a time, SC2SEA gave me a HoTS beta key".
Today, I voted for PiG instead of Idra to go to the GSL World Championships. I was the 250th vote. Today, I became a member of the SC2SEA family.
To our future.

Finally! Hey, this highfive may very well be my first Oceanic Esport memory! I'm watching your stream at the moment, well trying my best to with the Twitch app..
Thank you! It's great to see the people I've been talking to over the past year or so over twitter and on battlenet in this thread. I'm looking forward to meeting even more
I really wish I could play on SEA now but my ping is really bad from Canada so ill have to wait until I move
I am not musically inclined but I was recently inspired by the lyrics of Bob Segar's - Nightmoves and changed the lyrics to describe my relationship with the Zerg Queen. Here is the song to get a feel for the beautiful tune
I was a little too noob
Could've used a few more units
APM spam hardly reknown
She was a energy filled queen with big attack range
And creep all her own sitting way up high
Way up spread and high
Out past the creep fields where the minimap got heavy
Out in the back seat of Idra's Bugatti
Workin' on mysteries without any scouting
Workin' on our queen injects
Trying' to make some front page r/Starcraft news
Workin' on our queen injects in the laddertime
In the sweet laddertime
We weren't using her energy oh no far from it
We weren't hotkeying for some pie in the sky summit
We were just full of energy and unhotkeyed and forgotten
Living by the swarm
And we'd steal away every chance we could
To the hatchery, the natural, the trusty quick third
I didnt use her she didnt use me
But neither one cared
We were microing our banes
Workin' on our queen injects
Trying to lose all the ladder games
Workin' on our queen injects
In the laddertime
And oh the wonder
Felt the forcefields
And we waited on the ultralisks
Waited on the ultralisks
I woke last night to the sound of ultralisks
How far off I sat and wondered
Started humming a song from Brood War
Ain't it funny how the night moves
When you just don't seem to have many points to lose
Strange how the night moves
With season 4 closing in
