This game features 2 great SEA zergs duking it out in the SC2SEA KOF. Master is known for his baneling aggression while Revenant is a well-rounded zerg player capable of executing various different builds to defeat his opponents. Revenant opens up with a 15 hatchery while Master 12 pools. As such, his lings reach Revenant's hatchery and starts attacking drones at the natural even before Revenant has any lings out.
Go lings!
Revenant has no choice but to pull an extra 6-7 drones from his main to help defend his natural. He takes 2 drone losses, but is able to drive out the zergling invaders. Master gets lingspeed, a baneling nest and maintains his aggression on the natural expansion with his higher zergling numbers, but is unable to make any progress. He then waits for lingspeed before attacking into Revenant's natural again.
Go lings!
Yet again he is unable to break the zergling numbers and falls back to morph some banelings before continuing the aggression. Revenant blocks his ramp with his queens, but one of them gets taken out by Master's lings and Master is thus able to slip in his banelings into Revenant's main.
Hello you 4 banelings, and welcome to my main of 5 spread out drones.
In a moment of mismicro, Master lets slip 2 of his banelings onto a single drone. The rest of his banelings within the main are easily cleaned up without doing much damage. Revenant utilizes the downtime to complete his wall off of spine crawlers and an evolution chamber at his natural. Master attacks yet again with banelings and zerglings, but is unable to make any progress.
Master continues his attacks on Revenant's natural with banelings and zerglings. Let us look at the attacks one by one.
1) Master is able to catch Revenant's queen off guard and kill it. His 3 banelings explode and kill all of Revenant's zerglings, as well as damage spine crawlers down to red and yellow health. Revenant flees the drones in his main to his well-defended natural, and Master takes this time to take out the spawning pool.
Huge win for Master
Slow zerglings spawn in time to chase Master's speedlings away. And while this attack has not yet finished, the second has already begun.
2) Master's 2 banelings, and a small number of zerglings from within the base and outside take out the 1 of the spine crawlers at Revenant's natural and leave the other at 2 hit points.
Almost
3)A third attempt kills off the low health spine crawler, but the majority of zerglings manage to slip away from the single baneling of Master's.
Almost got that baneling to the zerglings
4)Master's next attempt takes out a spine crawler and zerglings, forcing Revenant to get up 2 more spine crawlers.
5)Master slips zerglings into the main main again, but is unable to do much with them.
6)This time, Master prepares a higher baneling count for his next attack, but loses some of them to single zerglings sent out by Revenant. When he attacks, his banelings take out a substantial amount of drones. Revenant promptly replenishes his drone count while Master backs his zerglings away upon seeing his opponent obtaining lingspeed.
The 'sweet spot' attack
Master appears to recede to a more defensive position, building a hatchery at his natural. Yet he morphs more banelings for a strong push to break Revenant's natural. Thanks to Revenant's newly morphed banelings exploding in an area where the enemy banelings are, he only manages to take out an evo chamber and spine crawler. This push is not fruitful for Master.
Baneling explosion
Master's continuous speedling-baneling aggression ends as roaches hatch out of their eggs. The speedling raids yield a queen kill and nothing more. As Revenant begins his roach death march to Master's base, Master counterattacks and finally takes out the natural hatchery before gg'ing.
