Personally I've been looking forward to this game since it's announcement many years ago.. now that it is here I'm (almost) ecstatic.. but at the same time I'm afraid that I won't like what I find!
Could a mod please move this to general, I accidently posted this in the wrong section!

Reason: :S posted it in the wrong forum sub-category
I have waited along time for this to come out ( was an avid kotor fan) i applied for beta however i read somewhere that it was going to have a delayed release in the pacific region, due to what they say; is to make sure the servers arnt bogged down as like happened to WOW's release.
However im not a huge fan of MMO and im not very inticed to pay $15 dollars or watever it is to just play single player.
I've also been waiting for ages. I was lucky enough to beta test for a weekend a few weeks ago and it's awesome. This weekend is a mass test before launch.
@krycheck - they are launching in the US and most of EU on 20/12, but not is Oceania. I've heard rumors about when AU/NZ will get it, but they aren't based on much. I'd say BW will decide when after they have seen how the main launch goes. EB has promo boxes already, but no release date.
In the meantime you can order off Amazon and still play if your keen. Lot's of Aussies have.
I'm on the fence about this one. Not sure if I'll pick it up or not. Can some lovely person give me a quick rundown on what separates this from the plethora of other MMO titles out there?
I'm in for the stress-test this weekend as well, though I won't have the chance to get on much.
Cute, as far as I'm aware it is essentially a traditional MMO done Bioware's way. If you are a fan of their single-player efforts then it sounds like it would probably interest you. If not, then probably not. Will give a bit more of a details analysis after the weekend.
Well I'll pick it up on Australian release.. if I like the stress test. I'm in no hurry to play an MMO, I need to get good at sc2.. but still I'll be interested by time it is released :P

Eddie, the last cinematic trailer that I saw, which I believe is the intro for the game, annoyed me more than anything. It's almost like Bioware just decided to dump as many Star Wars clichés as possible into a single clip. >.<
The beta is an open beta, so everyone who signed up for the beta should have received an invite. I did .
Anyway, the non-disclosure agreement has been lifted now, so who wants to see an in-depth review of it before it even comes out so they can decide whether or not to buy it?
I'm a fanboy, but i'll be honest about it

Damn it's sad they are so slow.... I didn't receive the beta key, cause I'm in Malaysia? Or something along those lines for sure.
@Eddie : Oh I never found the first and second videos, thanks for sharing.
P/s: The first vid is soooo classic, escaping leaving the jedi master behind to die. And the Sith apprentice taking over.

The cliches are good, they help to improve the immersion, just another way of letting you know your actually in the star wars universe. It was like this for dragon age origins where there were alot more cliches present and some very suspicious similarities to lotr.

Does the first video start with a capture bounty hunter who owns a 'copy' of the Millennium Falcon. They get attacked by two Sith. At least one of the Jedi/Sith has an obligatory double-ended lightsabre. The 'Millennium Falcon' is used to escape because it's the only ship that is fast enough. The master dies and the apprentice survives?
I was absolutely psyched for TOR up until I saw that trailer.

I don't know. Personally, I want to be told or experience an new story, not the same tired old one that we've had a hundred times over.

I'm in, been waiting aaaages! I'll be up 3am saturday morning when it opens up for us playing for sure!

Was thinking the exact same thing.... So unoriginal.
