How do you work out if you're seeded for syd finals already?
if you have1500+ points over 17th place than statistically you're safe anything under is a gamble (from my calculations anyway >.<)

Just under a week until we kick this into gear! Just to give some insight into the whole seeding. Will add a version of this to the ACL Sydney page in due course.
For ACL Sydney, 16 players will be invited to compete. 8 will be invited through yearly points (Season 1, 2 AND 3 - or said differently all 6 Online Round and the two LANs). The other 8 will be seeded purely off of Season 3 points.
So what does this mean?
A few of you are wondering if you need to participate in Season 3 rounds. Next to nobody has automatically qualified unless you are confident you are clear from finishing below 8th in yearly points after Season 3 points are added.
If you want the best shot at qualifying in the best position you must compete in Season 3 rounds both to increase your Yearly Points tally but also place you well in the Season 3 only rankings - effectively giving you two shots at being invited.
How will seeding work?
Seed 1 through 8 will be Yearly Points, seed 9 through 16 will be Season 3 points. We will seed based off Yearly Points first or said differently the higher seed (E.G say PiG finishes 5th in Yearly points but 1st in Season 3 rounds, he will take a Yearly Points seed as that would put him in 5th seed vs 9th seed). Said differently we will filter down Yearly Points after Season 3 points have been added until we have 8 to give them the best seed. We will then go down Season 3 only points and seed the top 8 remaining. These players will be invited and should one person decline, their position will be filled appropriately with the next available player on the list. In the case a Yearly Points player declines, the next available Yearly Points player will be invited into the top 8 rather than bumping everybody up and inviting another Season 3 points player.
Open Bracket?
If we have an open bracket at ACL Sydney this will also be invite only. This will also be seeded between a mixture of Yearly Points and Season 3 points. So take that into consideration when considering playing as even if you don't make the top 8 of the respective two qualifying processes, you still may be in contention for an open bracket position if it goes ahead.
Although some of this, particularly seeding, may be a tad confusing at the moment I hope it gives you a better understanding of the processes. I strongly suggest anybody be it pro or amateur plays in these Online Rounds as you never know how this season's points will impact the placings.

I guess you will be in if you have:
(your yearly points) - (2x 1st place Online round yearly points) >> (9th place yearly points)
Don't take my word for it, though.
