Following in the footsteps of Team FaDe (RIP), Team ToR, pX eSports and others, ETL has decided to make the transition from a clan into a team. Now, while we're still unsponsored (certainly not from lack of effort) at this point with jerseys, a website near completion, and some great players, I felt like it was time we pulled the trigger on this one, because our A-Team has some very talented players, and I feel that talent can take us places in 2013 and 2014.
Allow me to present to you, Team Eternal E-Sports!
Soundwave is currently in his final year of high school. He puts his studies first, which limits his playtime, but there is someone with a lot of potential waiting to be unleashed. With victories over some strong players in the past, Soundwave is looking to improve over the next few months until he is someone who can stand on an even level with the best in SEA.
"I'm very happy to finally be able to create Team Eternal E-Sports. This has been in the works for a long time and I'm happy I have such a great team of individuals to share this experience with. I have to manage in addition to play, but I won't let it slow me down. As I said in my post ACL Brisbane blog, I am improving, and I am determined. Watch out for me."
Back in 2010, Azz was arguably the best player in SEA. As many of you know, he stopped playing and fell off the radar, making occasional appearances such as in mid 2012. But in 2013, Azz joined Eternal E-Sports, and we were very happy to have him on board. In ACL Brisbane he was able to make the group stages and even defeat iM.Light. He has been posting good results in online tournaments and the like, but it seems like not many have noticed. Hopefully they notice now.
Santi is one of the top Colombian players, and was able to achieve a solid 4th place result at WCS Colombia in 2012. He is dedicated towards the game and improving. Santi is the lone Terran on this team, but he is a hell of a player to have carrying the Terran flag.
Daedalus is a strong and very underrated up and comer in the SEA scene. He has a strong mind for the game and I hope with ETL he can break through the glass ceiling and reach the level we all know he can reach.
"I am excited to be a part of Team Eternal. We are full of up and comers and have a lot to prove, but I believe with hard work and dedication we will be able to fulfill our potential and make our mark on the SEA scene."
Crumize is someone most of you won't have heard of, but he has quietly been laddering away (and participating in a few online tournaments) and getting good results, beating some good players such as PiG and PainUser. I believe that when Crumize finally goes to a LAN, he will make a significant impact.
It is said that if you know your enemies and know yourself, you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles; if you do not know your enemies but do know yourself, you will win one and lose one; if you do not know your enemies nor yourself, you will be imperiled in every single battle.
