Was wondering if anybody knew how to transfer maps across regions. (well not possible but want the map on SEA)
From what i understand due to the new Battlenet there is no saved map folders or anything and you need the actual map file to then publish the map on SEA.
If anyone knows how to download the map or knows how to contact the guy. I would love to get the map "SC2 Micro Tournament" which is on NA onto SEA.
Is it the one originally made by Morrow? Could try contacting him.
Otherwise: You can open the Map Editor and download the map from Battle.net if it is unlocked.
1. File -> Preferences -> Battle.net, pick Americas.
2. Open -> Battle.net -> Login, Pick "Map/Mod Name" in Source, and search for the map. If it's unlocked, you should be able to download and open it.
3. Go back to Preferences, switch back to Oceanic.
4. File -> Publish -> Log back in, hit OK.
I just tried the above procedure with the map which I think you are talking about and it seemed to work alright, but I removed it since should get the OK from the original maker as a matter of courtesy.
Blizzard really needs a way for users to be able to port maps across servers or something. Any decent map is locked and it really sucks to not have them!
I just messaged Diamond, leader of ESV (formerly iCCup) about getting ESV maps published to SEA, it really sucks that there's no easier way...especially from English speaking server to English speaking server, why can't all the maps just be the damn same
Wanna know how little people care about publishing maps on SEA? GSL Calm Before The Storm has 'storm' spelled 'strom'.
