A big topic of discussion tonight has been around the use of bugs within the game. While there are multiple angles on this subject, the major view appears to be that, while this is wrong, because a rule has not been made in anticipation of this, a heavy punishment cannot be justified.
The topic in question came to light when DynSL.Fullmetal abused a rally glitch in 2 games during SEAcraft #51 against both Wally and Chase to gain their location through Fog of War and perform an 11/11 Barrack cheese on Cactus Valley.
While we agree that this is a major misstep on the part of the player, as this has not been accommodated for in the rules, the punishment must befit the "crime." Therefore, we have decided to withhold all of the points Fullmetal has earned during tonight's SEAcraft. We would also like to extend a warning to everyone who participates in SEA tournaments. If you abuse glitches in any way, shape or form, we will NOT tolerate it. Future cases of bug abuse will result in heavy punishments including bans. You have been warned.
We in the OSC team believe in maintaining the integrity of the games in the SEA scene and feel strongly about maintaining good habits of fair play. As such we hope that if anyone does gain knowledge of a glitch before it is known to the public, they respect the integrity of the competition in our region and refrain from using these glitches.

Pls add rule stating knowledge and subsequent abuse of exploit/glitch (aka "pulling a Fnatic") results in loss of all points gained so far and 8 week ban on earning future points - also immediate disqualification from present tournament.
Thank you for your time.

This was linked on reddit a few days back, and I would consider it public knowledge.
Not arguing what he did was wrong/right or about the rules n shit, just to let people know how he would have discovered it. Glitch abuse should have been accommodated for from day 1. Better late than never I guess!
Thanks for not actually punishing him, as it really wasn't an explicit rule before this post. Correct decision there.
I've got a feeling that, even if this rule does get put in every tournament OP, someone's not gonna read it and get done over (probably someone from outside region who might not read the thread). I'd be quite careful about this whole topic in general. It's obviously an unintentional bug (mind you, so were half the BW micro techniques, but bit off topic~) and preferably Blizzard will just patch it ASAP.
This should be fixed asap.
Some people don't rally the scouting worker to a mineral patch but somewhere in a main
and could even unintentionally cause this glitch (you would see the difference between abusing and just unintentionally causing it but it could be confusing)
Because of some recent events to do with SEAcraft I will be updating the rules in discussion with the OSC team. My job is to prepare a fair and balanced tournament that everyone can enjoy. Recent problems have failed this account. Updated rules will be posted and take affect before SEAcraft #52.
These new rules will take into consideration different forms of smurfing and abuse of glitches/bugs
I thank the OSC team for working so fast to resolve this issue.

"and we'll invest more on Bots, as our first Trial bot, the 'NemBotElie' was a huge success, organising tournaments and being part of the Council of mGG. But there are a few bugs in which the bot cannot go past the skill level of a Platinum Protoss." - PaRAnorMaL
