Was doing some work on the forums and chanced upon some classic threads worth sharing that our new members might never had the pleasure of seeing! Having a slow day at work? Looking for some entertaining stuff to read? Without further ado I present "5 classic threads you might have missed"!
Classic Thread #1

Ret Vs SEA Showmatch - Not too long ago, we organised a showmatch between LiquidRet and the SEA-All stars, who was kind enough to entertain us. Representing SEA were those regarded as the best players at that time, mOOnGLaDe, OxygeN, YoonYJ, Kowi and surprise CO Winner for the last open slot - Bosser. Yoon ended up being the only one able to take the game against Ret.

Pinder(JPMoney) vs Huntress Grudgematch - The thread started out innocently enough with dennistoo wondering why GSL Season 1 had only one protoss in the round of 8. (sidenote: wow protoss has been sucking for along time!) Anyway a legendary Zerg pRohuntress claimed Protoss players had to stop whining and L2P which naturally the protoss players didn't take too well too and a few hours after the thread was made we found ourselves sitting in a live streamed BNET game lobby grudge match between Pinder and Huntress. Its always awesome when threads develop into epeen battles of pride ending in Starcraft 2 games but the ending was anti-climatic, I think it ended up as a draw with Huntress winning the last game and Pinder decided he cbf (or didn't wanna risk it? We will never know!!) and decided to leave halfway, which actually was the best result as it left both players pride intact from the evenly tied series.

JesseTheKing's Queen Application - What is this I don't even... Even though I've spent so much time with him I still have no idea if he was serious or not lol. After honing his skills on NA, Jesse rose from obscurity and was at the time the #1 player on the top 200 list, playing random and boosting a 75% winrate. A feat that will probably never be matched again. Apparently he thought that gave him the right to recruit a queen to rule the SEA ladder with him (Looks like there's more support for the "played on NA so I > you" syndrome). He received a few applications but rejected them all in true jesse style because they weren't his "cup of tea". Last I heard he was busy with his recently found RL queen and games are for nerds. Tsk tsk he obviously hasn't seen Jabito!

YJY Sells Account - YJY was emoing like spiderman one day (probably after losing a ton to protoss) and decided to mark this emo moment by selling his sc2 account. Thankfully no one bought it, and shortly after Yoon was picked up by Team Immunity and went on to cash in many other tournaments. Imagine what could have happened if someone had sent him a single PM! No more yooN!

A maths Problem? - Our lovable Zergtastic gets banned from the TL strategy forums and then makes a fiercely debated thread here on how scouting overlords cost 200 minerals, as well as a youtube video to back it up! It went on to generate close to 100 posts and many long walls of text from several people, which I personally never read and I actually ignored that thread all together. lol seriously didn't know what the fuss was about and don't really care it was such a minor thing in the game! Anyway wonder what zergtastic thinks now about the costs of scouting overlords! Oh wait, I didnt just go there, please don't start it up again. On a side note I believe he impressively hit GM recently, coming a long way from being in BSG and hosting the BSGs

This leaves out some keyfacts, ie:
I originally said no, i have no intention of grudge matching anyone (and never really do/did, i think grudge matches are kinda lame), when del (admin at the time) editted my posts to say i agree (edit: looking back at the thread itself, it actually might've even been you that edited it nirvana? my memory is hazy, all i know is that post that says "i accept!!!" clearly wasn't what i originally typed in that post), leaving me with pretty much no out other than making it look like i agreed then backed off after he agreed, at which point i was practically forced to play when i didnt particularly want to in the first place...
So, i played 2 games, both of which i set my unit health to 80% in the lobby (because fathuntress was literally that bad), and went 1-1 with him (macro games, nothing cheesy), before me saying i couldnt be bothered anymore after the second game.
I don't see how him losing to me on 80% left him with his pride intact, but w/e.
