How Divisions work
You may only register to participate in one division. The ‘league’ you are considered as is your best 1v1 league from the last 3 seasons (including this season), between the SEA & NA servers.
Division #1 is open to all players.
Division #2 is open to players in Diamond league and below.
Division #3 is open to players in Gold league and below.
Map Pool:
(subject to change, a poll will be used to decide the final map pool)
• Cloud Kingdom LE
• Korhal Compound LE
• MLG Dual Sight
• MLG Antiga Shipyard
• GSL Metropolis
• MLG Shakuras Plateau
• MLG Shattered Temple
• MLG Tal’Darim Altar
• MLG DayBreak
In best of 1 games, players take turns to eliminate maps until 1 remains which is played on.
In best of 3 games, the first round is decided as above, after that the loser decides.
Each player has 1 master veto which cannot be chosen by the loser.
How the tournament works:
Stage 1 – Pool matches: You will be placed randomly against several players from your division. You will play a ‘best of 1’ match. The number of players you compete against will vary, depending on the number of participants. The players with the most wins will move onto the next stage.
Stage 2 – Standard elimination: The players with the most wins from the pool matches will now compete in a ‘Best of 3′ knockout.
Stage 3 – Finals: For division #2 & #3, the finals will be a ‘best of 5’ match. For division #1, the finals will be a ‘best of 7’ match.
Sign ups extended to tomorrow night! Gogo it's not too late, if you are in Auckland get on this! People always want more tournaments and events here, yet only 11 people signed up in total so far T_T
For anyone planning to attend this event, i noticed this on reddit & then on their facebook:
Quote:
A total of 13 people have registered and paid for this tournament, this is not enough to run the event.
It pains us to announce that this tournamet has to be cancelled
If you wish a refund, please email us at events@esportsnz.com, otherwise you will be automatically registered for the next eSportsNZ Auckland SC2 LAN (TBA).
It's sad to see a LAN pack up because there is no interest
