This is referring mostly to the Razer Naga mouse, the wireless variety to be specific.
This afternoon I noticed that my mouse was constantly disconnecting and reconnecting to the usb port, happening about once every 5 seconds for about 1 second each time.
I tried all of my 8 usb inputs, driver checks and a reboot. After the reboot, the issue was still occuring. Currently it is fine, but I'm not sure at what point it'll happen again.
Has anyone ever encountered this before and if so, what'd you do to fix it?
Also, just as an opinion, if anyone ever wants expensive equipment for gaming, I'd probably pass on Razer. I have the Banshee headset and Naga Epic Elite mouse and considering the price tag, they're both kinda meh.
Just for clarification, I'm running the usb cord on this, not using it wirelessly. The battery life is so hopeless it's not even worth it.
Are the batteries in the mouse 100%?
Could there be anything om the way of the wireless signal?
Has this happened before at all? Like randomly dropping out once or twice.
If all the above questions come back fine, send it in for warranty!
Just so you know, it's the wireless unit but I'm running it with the cord in.
Haven't tried in another computer, will do that if the issue crops up again.
The cord is completely solid, keep in mind that the naga has a woven fabric over the copper cabling inside the lead so as to stop and fraying of the cord.
As for the actual socket in the mouse, there's a slot that is made to ensure no horizontal/vertical movement of the plug, so I don't believe that it's a conductivity issue with the lead.
The lights do turn off, so it's either not getting power or the internals have a loose connections.
Mouse has never been dropped and is in perfect condition, not even 5 months old.
