Further to my comment about 3 options (one for each race):
If you had, for example:
Keep what you have now as the protoss unit with a blue theme.
Add a unit for terran (?maurader ? marine). I think a metal/ silver theme could go well with this.
Add a unit zerg (?zergling). I think a black (or maybe green) theme could go well with this.

I really like Insom's design, and it fits with the current site nicely.

But I also had this idea, which is far from original but something I wanted to explore anyway.

It's also missing countries, I did this really quickly, so we can add them in if anyone does like this design.

There's heaps more countries than aus/nz,I only did those to initally so I could get the design up. It's an incomplete design. I just wanted to see what it would look like, and figured others might too. If we were to use it, it needs a bit of work.

Very, very rough site mockup. Just changed colours to suit my proposed background. Though in my ideal world, the chatbox would be a thing of the past ^.^

The background doesn't have to be stars either, can easily make it w/e

I also like the idea of having three different designs for the races. Can be randomized everytime the page is loaded or a user setting or something. Probably less extreme than the other one, I'd just give the seahorse zergling spikes, a marine helmet + rifle and like a zealot blade or something

looks great and I like the idea of creating the buttons for the 3 options. The other 2 images were slightly larger with the tail/ wing extending to just behind the text saying "coaching". I think the banshee would look great if it also extended out of the middle section in a similar way.

Edit: I think I realise why you didn't extend it. Is it because of the dark colours not showing up nicely?
