I have this dream... Where not far in the future, eSports is going to be bigger than any other sports have ever been. More than football, basketball, tennis... And everything else. Where eSports is not limited to Starcraft, not to League of Legends (frankly, 90% of that video was SCII and LoL), but includes every other game that we have.
I believe that I am not the only one. I know that there are many other like me out there who have faith in eSports. And to all of you out there, I would like to tell you something. Don't just sit there and wait for the miracle. Sometimes, you can't depend everything on others. This is not only Day9's job, nor Husky, nor TB, not anyone. Not anyone's job. It is everyone's work. Its a thing that we all have to work together. Even if its the tiniest effort that you can make. I always talk about eSports with my friends. Share my insights with them. Let them know, that one day, game will be publicly recognised not only as teenager's entertainment, but sport. (Well, frankly speaking, the largest demographic of online games have not been teenagers for a long time...) That day, the players will have all the respect that they deserve; no more own3D incidents; no more shitty contracts; and none shall tell me that "gaming is not going to get you anywhere".
With all honesty, I don't know if I can see this in 10 years. But I am sure that this is going to be within the lifetime of most of us. And until that day, I will try my best to make it happen.
(I know I got a bit emotional (and exaggeration) on this. But I really, really love eSports.)
