Moonglade(Zerg) spawns at the bottom, Jjun(Terran) spawns at the top.
The game starts off with Moonglade opting for a fast expansion before pool and Jjun going for the standard 2 barracks build. Jjun's marines go overlord hunting and snipes moonglade's first overlord.
Jjun moves forward with his marines, forcing moonglade to enforce his zergling numbers. Jjun then smartly backs off as he sees the increasing zergling count. The simple method of walking forward with marines has dealt a huge blow to moonglade's economy, forcing moonglade to focus on an army without the economy to back it up.
The power and frustration of a 2 rax build
Back at terran's base, a new command center is already up and 2 more factories are being built. Moonglade, with no information of what is happening inside the terran base, drops a baneling nest in hopes that he would be able to apply some pressure onto Jjun and force Jjun to show his hand - or hold off any type of one base all-in play. Meanwhile, Jjun's factories start pumping hellions and researching blue flame.
This late into the game and no crucial information on the enemy is always a bad sign.
Jjun signals his intention for an expansion by walling off the right portion of the choke to his natural with the relocation of his barracks. Jjun's hellions push forward and are revealed as he meets Moonglade's combined force of banelings and zerglings.
Moonglade's zerglings fail to surround the hellions as they are roasted alive by the blue flame. With the absence of zerglings, Jjun is able to kite Moonglade's banelings endlessly, killing all of them. He gathers his marines and pushes into the heart of the zerg base, taking out moonglade's expansion and killing the majority of the banelings behind they come too close. Moonglade gg's.
Game 2 - Terminus RE
Moonglade(Zerg) spawns at 12, Jjun(Terran) spawns at 6
The game starts off with Moonglade doing the same fast expand build, while Jjun uses a 1 barracks fast expand build.
I need my INFO
Possibly due to the size of Terminus RE, moonglade discovers that his scouting drone arrives too late to find out anything else that Jjun is doing besides the one barracks and the one marine who promptly chases the scouting drone away. Jjun is thus able to expand once again without any difficulty. He builds 2 factories yet again and starts pumping out hellions while researching blue flame.
Meanwhile, moonglade, anticipating some sort of push, had already dropped down a couple of spine crawler - which unfortunately prove to be useless in stopping hellions from slipping through the front entrance into his natural. The hellions manage to delay a significant amount of mining time and take the lives of some zerglings before they are dealt with.
That was quick reaction to pull those drones into spine crawler defense
But that is not all that Jjun has up his sleeve. He drops 4 hellions with his medivac into the zerg's main, delaying yet more mining time, and even manages to save the hellions with his medivac.
Moonglade had meanwhile been focusing on his economy and tech, expanding at the 9 o'clock position and taking his low mineral patch 3rd base. Baneling speed is finished, and a large number of mutalisks are out on the field Jjun masses up a large amount of marines and tanks and pushes towards moonglade's base while taking his 3rd base. A drop attempt at the 9 o'clock zerg base by Jjun is easily cleaned up by mutalisks. As Jjun pushes his marines into the zerg natural expansion, Moonglade seizes the opportunity to wipe out his tanks.
You picked the wrong unit to guard you, mr Tank.
The mutalisks are finally forced away by the marines. Since the tank count is low, moonglade finally decides that it's time to engage.
However, the zerg unit count proved to be way too low as moonglade finds himself failing to protect his newest expansion. Meanwhile, Jjun takes this opportunity to send tanks and marines to moonglade's 9 o'clock base.
This small taskforce of Jjun's is not done yet. Medivacs transport them to moonglade's 3rd expansion and they take out the hatchery there before the zerg destroy them. Moonglade, realizing the dire situation he is in, counterattacks Jjun's new fourth base and takes down the orbital command.
That does not seem to deter Jjun however, as he marches his forces to moonglade's natural yet again. Moonglade yet again manages to kill off the Jjun's forces but at huge cost. Jjun's numerous reinforcements, paid for with the economic might of MULEs and 3 terran bases, prove to be too much for moonglade to handle. Moonglade is forced to type out.
Believe me, the starcraft gods will not see this go unpunished
G1 - Outplayed I question the risky decision to go after the hellions with the lack of zergling support though.
G2 - New map. Sadly, moonglade's build didn't seem to take into account hellions, plus the combination of expanding more than usual enabled Jjun to push and put pressure onto moonglade, making sure that the mutalisks were not able to utilize their potential of harrassment on the terran.
Don't be too down because of this, go show them what you're made of in IEM!
