So I guess most of you saw my thread to do with my first custom UI. Got some good feedback which helped me come to this iteration, regardless here it is:
1- I will keep this thread up to date with things you may like to know about the UI, and also answer any questions you may have about it. Maybe you wanna learn how to or want to know if I can implement something.
2- Post my designs here with a possible to do list, so you know what could be going on.
If you are interested in using this let me know, since I am still developing a lot of things and learning new things myself there may be glitches or other things, but for the most part I havent had any issues yet (aside from the white bar you can see in the image above >.<)
So what can you expect to see coming soon?
- An area to place your tournament/caster logo (integrated into the UI) so it looks a lot more natural than thrown over the top DONE
- Inbuilt score system, so you can manually set the score and series score so viewers can see (again to make it look more natural)
- Retexturing the entire overlay, black is bland needs a bit more finesse (your input would be appreciated here)
Things that are included (that are different from normal):
- Mineral and Gas rates (coloured) and worker count. The little worker also changed colour with player colour.
- Redesigned Information Selection Panel, shortened and made to increase viewing area
- Can only select up to 16 units at once (also doesnt display more than one group of units after that)
- Inserted army supply in there as well.
- Cleaner look acheived and simpler resource bar, somewhat easier to read things
I havent been keeping up to date with the custom UI stuff, is it all done in game in terms of the setup? Or do you code it externally? (If so maybe I can give some help if needed)

Its all done in the Game Editor through interface files, the coding is done in XML
it looks good, i think it has some distance to go before it would be picked up.
the black does look a little bland i feel you should go with a gradient style background that still has good reading ability.
i really like production to be in the top left i feel its much nicer to view the game UI but i feel this might just be my opinion

Yea, I will be starting some more development on it this week. Took 2 weeks off to do other things as this sorta took over my life haha, regardless I will be looking at minimizing the selection panel and getting a design I like for that, once I have some more pictures to show I will update the thread
Here is my latest attempt at an edit, a vertical unit seleciton, this is just for units but I plan on incorporating unit abilities as well, as we as vertical groups as well. Anwyay feedback would be appreciated (also once finalised will change the graphic so its better than just black)
Well another update, I finished the layout of the vertical section (ignore the black background, let me know what you think of a vertical selection box!!!

I was like that for a couple months but since I had nothing better to do I just kept at it haha. Extra stuff will be slow the next few weeks as I am doing a stupid amount of work atm IRL but after that they should come flooding back
