Apologies if this has been suggested before but is there any way of implementing a "x person has responded to blog y" in chat box.
I don't mind if the blogs don't get bumped up to the top but if there is a particular blog - say for example benji's recent vlog which starts a discussion it would be a lot easier to keep track of replys instead of having to move it to a thread before it gets "taken over" by new blogs.
Just one comment. Can you please add a "HOME" button inline with the "CONTACT US"
FAQ etc. It gets us straight back to the Chat Room after reading the threads, instead of clicking "BACK TO TOP" and "HOME"..... Ta.
Done!

Done Its now under display modes > "View All" at the top right of threads and it is completely functional. I need to make this more intuitive and would need PC's help in putting it in the page number area.

Done! There is now a sticky thread area for the popular stickied threads. There is also a new stickied tournament area. The previous one was static and although it could contain more information, only I could update it cause of the site's limitation with permissions. As you may have noticed, adding that new feature sadly caused more harm than good as it inadvertently ended up causing some "friction" with someone. This one is more dynamic and allows any mod to move threads into the main tournament threads so they become stickys. Also any mod can move the threads to the general sticky fourms and they will appear there. Moved the layout a bit to give more spotlight to the sticky tournaments threads

Do you think we can have a similar layout for streams like TL's? Where when you click on the stream you can give your own stream a brief explanation?
it'd be nice if we can have features like that

All done, and all credit for this goes to veteris.

Done. Search function has been improved significantly and is now Ajax based i.e you type stuff in the box and results appear on the fly. Try it out
On my To Do List
Blog bugs - Just sent another email again to the developer, lets hope theres an easy solution. New Blog button - This should be easy enough Missing div tag which causes the weird background on small monitors - I need to go through this again. Spent like 10 hours still can't find it. UPDATE: No wonder i couldn't find it! found out was the top10 thing which was messing up the layout by forcing itself out of the container. When its removed the site works fine so for now i've made it display less info so the site looks fine on smaller resolutions
More suggestions? Anything I missed?
Let me know here!
Did a small stuff here and there like i finally figured out how to remove the whitespace header thing that mezza kept telling me about. Also removed the seahorse and improved navbar formatting.
I just noticed this yesterday. Is this because both the text colour and background colour are both white? Or is there a setting I could change so that it doesn't do that?
Would be interested to know if anyone else has this problem

Hey nirvana i was wondering if there could be a new sc2sea banner something that looks more professional. I'm not dissing the current banner but i think it would be cool if the banner is so cartoonish. Just my thoughts
Yup we are open to professionally designed banners, anyone who would like to contribute feel free to do so! If people like it i will put it up
Yea not everyone will like it some people will want cartoons/seahorse others would want pro looking stuff. i have no preferences personally and will just go with what the majority want
I'm on a 1280x1024 monitor & I have to scroll left-right to see the right-hand side of the site, but I'm okay with this. It's the price I pay for not being able to afford a wide monitor :P
The problem is that there is a big black gap where things cease to exist in the top right of the screen.
I'm not being a whiney bitch, I just have nothing to do while my client updates. lol.
Here's a picture depicting the problem alongside my poor drawing and childish sense of humor http://imgur.com/SsnAi
Thanks

If you're going through hell, keep going.
The comment only (like-less) system has been active for some time now and it appears to be working well. I propose the following suggestions.
1. Since it is no longer a like system add the ability for you to comment on your own post (obviously all comments should be limited to 1 per user because it's not designed to be its own mini thread).
2. The "Like it!" button should be changed to a "comment" button.
Currently a service provided by the admins of SC2SEA is name changes. Naturally this will still be a necessary service for major name changes however a lot of the minor name changes are simply the addition or removal of a clan tag.
As such I propose a feature which enables players to modify a prefix to their name while keeping their own alias.
Most clan prefixes aren't long typically 3 characters (aLt, ToR, TCP, mGG, FS, QED, etc...) with few exceptions (Iris, xGKing) so a character limit could be imposed if you wished.
A concern with this feature is that people may just go around changing their prefix all the time... the solution to this is simple... add a time constraint based on when they last changed their prefix. This "cooldown period" could be based on how frequently you change names already i.e. every two weeks.
Besides lessening the work load for SC2SEA staff this feature would also remove the risk associated with name changing (i.e. a stolen alias). A player could safely change their name to ToRVenom (for example) without losing their original alias (in this case Venom).
It would be cool if when someone makes a account and they choose their race it would choose the 1st unit for that race for their avatar. So seeing how my race is terran it would be cool if my avatar was a SCV and if someone chooses Protoss Thier Avatar is a Probe and Zerg = Drone
I've revamped the layout of the tabs on the sides of the site quite a bit.
To make it look neater I've made all the text smaller, also sorted them into categories, reduced the vertical padding, made button smaller and shifted some stuff around.
Let me know if you prefer this or the old layout please!
I like the layout but I feel it is very intimidating for new users.
Here is a major overhaul that I think would look good but would also take a very long time and be a big change for veteran users.
1. Separate forum section 2. New homepage and website layout e.g.
Top remains the same
Down right hand side; blogs, replays, facebook ad and archive
Down left hand side; calendar, tournaments, house clans and streams
Down the middle, articles and major forum posts 3. As TheGentleman suggested a prefix for clans that can be changed at certain intervals
It is a big change and would push the website to a more UI 'streamlined' feel with more news etc and would require a lot of effort amongst the community for articles and constant news.
Just a suggestion Cheers!

I keep it real bruv.
I don't mind the new smaller text for the side bar forums, although personally I wouldn't mind if posts with the "new" tag were still bolded or something, also think a tiny bit more vertical spacing between lines might be nice.
Another suggestion is at the bottom of thread pages where you can navigate to different pages, it would be nice to have the "next page" and "previous page" buttons bookending that section and maybe as larger buttons (at least larger horizontally) than the rest of the specific page number buttons (if that makes any sense), just for more convenient navigation.
the new layout does look quite nice, it feels much cleaner on a whole. I didn't really notice too much of it on the old layout but comparing it to the current layout the old one felt a little big and very busy.
