King Of SEA Nation Wars Week 1 Recap, Results and Replays
Week 1
Recap
The first week of the 7 week SEA Nation Wars was kicked off to a roaring start! Singapore vs NZ opened the procedings, and with wins from oxygen, ice and nirvana, Singapore managed to edge out New Zealand 3-1, with Plexa winning a match for the Kiwis. It should be noted that it was a slightly weaker New Zealand team fielded today, as NZ superstar Kowi could not attend due to other commitments. With over 300 viewers and some epic casting by Tenz, Deth and Plexa, the fans had a real treat!
The second match of the day was Thailand vs Indonesia. Thai star player RedArchon had just won an offline lan competition in Thailand today, and so had to attend to stuff and couldn't make it. So it was up to the lan competition runner up and also one of the Super Stars of SEA, Indy, to lead Thailand to victory. The games were close and it was tied at 2-2 with wins by Indy and SuperCheap from Thailand, and Versatile and Kott from indonesia. The stalemate had to be settled in an ACE match, with Indy in firm control taking the win for Thailand with a 2-0 victory. The cannon rush cheese in the first game surely was unorthodox!
The final match of the day wasn't streamed fully, although philly did provide a last minute caster. If you want to cast, please tell me in advance so it can be listed in the calender and you will get nice viewership. I didn't see the matches personally, but Vietnam managed a resounding 4-0 victory, with games going 2-0,2-0,2-1,2-1.
Suprisingly, Vietnam now tops the league table with 4 points. Australia will be playing next week after having a BYE this round, and its Thailand's turn to have a BYE next week. The matchups for this weekend will be up on Thursday, so stay tuned for another exciting weekend of SEA Nation Wars this Sunday the 4th of Sep!
Lastly, shoutouts to all the team managers for a great job done, to tenz for an EPIC 7 hour casting session, to casters Kelly, Deth and Plexa, and again to Plexa for helping with out tons with the replays/calender and for bringing home a win for TL against Singapore haha.[/spoiler]
