I believe the finals will be BO3 single elimination with a BO5 finals. Alpha will confirm.
So at the moment:
Semi-Finals: BO3
Finals: BO5
If this is single elimination, why do we need BOX? because if we lose one game, we are out. Isn't that what single elimination is meant to be? or do you mean that Single elimination works that one player who lost to BOX, is out of the tournament and the winner moves on to the next round? I am not sure.

This will be a Single Elimination however with a 3rd place match. So the first 2 games will be the semi final games, followed by the third place match. Followed by the Finals (between the winners of the first 2 games).
Semi-Finals: BO3
Third Place: Bo3
Finals: BO5
With the inclusion of the Bo5 another 2 maps have been added to the map pool. The map pool is now: Daybreak, Ohana, Cloud Kingdom, Akilon flats, Entombed Valley.
Each round will begin with a preset game for the first game of the round, then subsequent games will be chosen by the loser.

Oh...I just follow your directions at the time as well, so I know what exactly to do. I didn't know that there was going to be a third match as the brackets didn't show us it, only the semis and the finals lol. So how will the third match work? who plays who?

So yesterday we saw our Final Four players faced off in the final stage of the tournament, playing some very entertaining games. The final four players were:
xWhiteDragon
mGGpow
Philosopher
irishboi
All games were casted by MattyB and Mirth and can be found at: http://www.twitch.tv/mattyb21/b/358709045

xWhiteDragon vs Irishboi:
We started the day with a Bo3 between these 2 terrans. In both games irishboi sticking to his very aggressive style that he has been showing the entire time throughout the tournament, getting his 2 rax and factory down before an expansion. In both games Irish was able to get a strong contain on his opponent. xWhiteDragon was doing some impressive macro off his 2 bases, but using MMM, was un able to break the contain in either game. It also seems that irishboi did his homework, cause he was very prepared to fight against xWhiteDragon’s double prong drop style that he has been using throughout the tournament (and in practice), but irishboi was prepared with a solid turret ring.
Game 2, as stated above, also began with a strong contain with tanks and marines by irishboi, trapping his opponent on 2 bases. Though xWhiteDragon still had some good macro, and was able to continually deny irishboi entering up the ramp. Eventually xWhiteDragon went for one last attempt to break the contain, charging in with his army as a distraction as he called down….. THE NUKE OF PEACE, right on top of irishboi’s tanks and marine/marauder army. Unfortunately for xWhiteDragon, by the time that nuke landed (damn that long wait time) his army had been destroyed and the tanks had moved. The nuked landed killing about half of irishboi’s army. But the damage had been done. And Irishboi was able to move onto the finals.
Philosopher vs mGGpow:
Game 1 strong macro game from both players with very…..unique third being taken by Philo in the middle of the map at the usual 5th/6th base position. After multiple attacks back and forth fights, lots of expands being taken, mGGpow was able to force a beautiful engagement, forcing the protoss to fight around a corner, giving the terran a great concave for his MMM and Vikings. The protoss army melted away and the terran was able to take the victory
Game 2 was a short one, opening up with a strong DT expand, Philosopher was able to drop some dts into mGGpow’s main base. Managing to snipe down the main CC, and other production facilities while warping in more stalkers to assist, Philosopher was able to take game number 2.
Game 3 was another short one, with pow opening up with a 1/1/1, and Philosopher going for a 3 gate aggression. With no sort of bunker for defence, philosopher was able to just force his way into pow’s base and knock him out, and earn his spot in the finals.
Grand Finals: Irishboi vs Philosopher
This was an extremely exciting series from both player, that went all the way to game 5. I won’t recap every game, but I suggest if you havnt you go and watch the vods on mattyb’s channel of this final series. With an impressive victory from philosopher made all the bit more impressive by how sick he was (had to pause the game to throw up on multiple occasions).
Some highlights of the series would have to be game 3 where Irishboi revealed his full mech style, with strong use of a tanks, hellions, thors and Vikings. After a mis controlled engagement by Philosopher in the early game, Irishboi was able to capitalize and bring home a strong victory with the might of a fully max and heavily upgraded Mech Army. Being able to push forward and take the victory with the help of a well-placed hidden base.
Game 4: With Irishboi once again opening up with an aggressive rax/factory opener, he was able to do some army trading and even some economic damage, but never quite doing the amount of damage needed to get ahead. Philosopher was then able to counter the heavy Marauder Siege tank (with few marine) style with an awesome combination of Zealots, Immortals and voidrats. Decimating Irishbois contain and charging on for the win of game number 4
Lastly the show down of these 2 strong Bronze players ended in an epic Show down on Cloud Kingdom. With once again Irishboi using siege tanks as he had every other game, but for the 2nd time of the series choosing to go a Mech heavy style one again. With constantany army trading, base denying and many battles from both sides, the game and the series ended with a fully maxed out zealot archon colo army charging into the 180 supply, hellion, marine, thor, seigetank and viking army. The protoss came out successful and went on to win the series and the 20 dollar prize from VroomVroomVroom.
Final Wrap up:
All in all it was a very successful tournament that started a week ago with the group stages. The participation, excitement, the joy in victory and even in defeat by many players made it a Tournament to remember. A reminder to all participating players who have not yet submitted replays, that they may put in up to 2 replays to be analysed by some of the higher league players (a good tip for choosing replays.. is to find ones where you feel you played well, but still lost and want to know why).
I really hope that every bronze player who participated enjoyed the experience, and that you all try and stay as heavily involved in the mGG in game channel (mGG) and on sc2sea.com (best community out there).

thanks to mGG for holding the bronze tourney it was awseome. i met and played some very skilled bronze players, thanks to the casters for steaming the finals, you guys made me laugh all the way though. ( i watched the stream after the finals) i learned some new skills that i have to work on, from alpha: constant scv production, getting early expansions, and from the caster when i rewatched the stream, about getting supply blocked, i am still amazed that i got runners up in my first tournament, well done to philo for winning the tounament, my heart was racing all the way though the grand final ) i would love to play him again aswell as the of the players that when in to the tournament after i get those skills pitch perfect and to see how well they have improved since the tournament. thanks to every one for making it a great touney and GG
