Everyone should get on board this great tournament, looking really well organised and should see a lot of players have some exposure and having some fun! GL everyone.
I'm really disappointed in this tourny so far... after such a good #01 =/
Seeding wasn't done properly, I wasn't put in bracket, taking admins ages to respond and admins aren't as listed in thread, the only admin's internet keeps cutting out... I hope all these problems are fixed for the next one.
in a lull in the brackets but would like to throw up some tips for next time
1. Already been said but it would be extremely helpful to at least seed the top 10.. Hitting mafia in bo1 ro16 isn't the funnest!
2. Please align the rounds on challonge with maps in the information section
for eg. it says "Quarter Finals: WCS Anitga Shipyard (Round 4 :: Bo3)"
Which is actually round 5 on Challonge
3. Furthermore on the previous point it is extremely confusing to know which map you are playing on in the lower bracket and I'm still unaware how you're meant to work it out. In the information it simply says that the lower bracket follows the same format, yet there are offcourse many more rounds in the lower bracket, make it clear that the order resets for example. This leads to a lot of time being wasted.
looks like my games up but thats about all for now! hope it helps
Congratulations to Value making his way to the Upper Bracket Final against Rossi losing 0-2 and being sent into the lower bracket where he defeated Petraeus for a rematch with Rossi. Value won the first Bo3 2-0. Rossi was determined to make a fist of it in the second set of the Grand Final and took the first game, but the constant harassment with warp prisms in the following games really helped seal the deal and finished with a 2-1 scoreline in Value's favour.
Value is a platinum Protoss on the SEA ladder, but a Grand Master on the KR ladder. Is SEA better because of this? Haha! I should also mention that Value is known as Cyrano from the now disbanded TSL and will be playing for a spot in the GSL Code B qualifiers - we wish him all the best in the qualifiers!
Thanks to everyone who played, and watched on the streams. We loved casting the games and reading the comments in chat. Thanks heaps for the retweets and getting the notice out there as well. We had over 80 people watching the main stream several times throughout the night
Thanks to the admins who helped us out through the night. pXDuxxie, FSiLLusion and Baldie.
Big thanks to deadpixel and his sidekick Meatex on the B stream and Baldie once again filling the void when Meatex had to leave.
Thanks also to my co-caster Psynapse, couldn't have done it without you.
Massive thanks to the sponsors Tt eSports, USA Foods, The Exchange Hotel and the BarCraft Melbourne people who donated a bit of coin to the prizepool as well. Many thanks!
We have seen the feedback and we will be making sure that the issues that cropped up last night are addressed for the next tournament in February.
