SEA Writing Hivemind - ideas and suggestions thread
G'day all!
As you know, Soundwave and I are putting together articles about various SEA and OSC related things.
I'm creating this thread as a way for people to say 'Oi, Crescendo u git, we want u 2 write more of this'
Currently, my 'To Do' List looks something like this Weekends: Upload a new 'Behind The Username'; get a new interview completed and ready for subsequent release.
Mid-week: obtain information for the impending re-vamp of the Who's Who list (which will again potentially be a weekly gig, with a new person added or an existing profile updated with 2015 answers each week)
Specific Tasks: Tidy up, proofread, and edit the completed interviews for Nemesis and PSiArc
---
Planned projects:
Winner Interviews: the current idea is that - Unlike 'Behind The Username' - this as-yet-unnamed interview series would be a more concise event-related thing. Potentially not so big, not so beefy, but focused more on the player's thoughts about the event and the games they played.
Things I would like to ask the community right now
1: re Behind The Username - currently I've got this as a weekly item. But there's a lot of people I could interview, and my interviewing process is organised in a way that I could feasibly produce more than one Behind The Username each week.
Given the format and length of the interviews, would people want to see more than one Behind The Username each week? (I'm thinking 2 might be reasonable - one on Wednesdays, one on Saturdays) Or would two per week start to feel a bit like spam?
2: re As-Yet-Unnamed Winner Interviews - While I have ideas for the kind of questions I would be asking, I'd like for you to tell me what kind of questions you would like to see answered when someone wins a SEA event.
3: If there is any kind of article or interview which you think should happen, but doesn't currently, let us know what you'd like to see on SEA. You never know what could happen when an idea gets bounced around.
4: Give me names of the people that you want to see interviewed. They may be on my list already, but the individuals with more public demand attached to them will likely get shuffled higher up my list of 'people wot I will chat wiv'
I will take all ideas re: format of articles into consideration!
I just don't promise to use all of them.
(I learned that lesson after Nama suggested new clan tags in IXL chat. )
Thank you all for your time!

So, yeah, I misread all your messages and focussed on quantity, not quality. I blame it on all the manga I read, and my habit of reading from right to left. ;_;
I would like to apologise to all my fans, and promise that in the future I will do better, so please keep cheering for me!
But now I know you want quality over quantity - therefore I shall keep it to 1 edition of Behind The Username each week

I would actually really like to see an Interview with Baldie and Zepph. These guys might not be around alot but they are important members of our community and finding out a bit about them would be great.

I'll space it out over the week to have one each couple of days so as not to spam, then begin to dual upload interviews to SC2SEA and TL starting next weekend with the PSiArc edition.
When I have proper internet again, and can watch VODs for research, I'll be able to get started on the new interview series I have planned as well as get some ground work done on the next editions of Behind The Username.
FYI: I am still interested to know the kind of things folks like to see event winners asked, just in case I haven't thought of it
