Firstly, Thank you all so much for the support you have given me in running SEAcraft Weekly. It has been a real pleasure seeing so many people sign up each week and participate in this event.
Special thanks to Maynarde, Elusory, Namakaye, Metalcore and Insano for offering their services at various times during the 30 weeks that I have run SEAcraft.
SEAcraft Weekly, and SEAcraftTV is planning, at this stage, to return in Mid January 2015. and will run until the end of December 2015. We are hoping to get through about 50 Tournaments in that time (at least SEAcraft Weeklies). I am also brainstorming so other ideas to make SEAcraftTV an even bigger presence.
While I have no current plans to change any format to SEAcraft Weekly and how it runs, I would like to hear from the community what they may like to see. So looking for comments and a few points of discussion about what the community may like to see implemented (These may or may not make it to the end).
Regards,
Philosopher

I responded to the suggestions in that thread. Showmatches as I stated was problematic because of limited resources and Interviews have been problematic because of limited time in my part. Im also looking for opinions directly relevant to the structure of SEAcraft and if people want showmatches and interviews I will definitely keep this in mind for 2015!
If you have any other ideas and suggestions let us know!

Philosopher, what are the main difficulties faced when organizing showmatches? When you say "limited resources", you mean the "minerals"?
I have no idea on how much (and how many) people appreciate the showmatches, but if the demand is big, then maybe a joint effort is required. Creating a poll like "Vote for your preferred players out of this list with XXX players, we will pick the YYY most voted and try to cross them", then contact them if they are up for some showmatches and randomly build the matches.
"Hi, player, you have been voted in a poll at SeaCraft for showmatches, we will be able to pay XYXY bucks and will be cast by our crew, blablabla". Then setup the games way in advance, for example 2 months from now, checking the casters availability too.
Sorry if I am writing nonsense, it is just that I don't know the current process for setting this up.
I haven't looked at my financials for 2015, so I'm not exactly sure how much "spare resources" i will have left over from the SEAcraft 2015 season. The last couple of months have been financially hard for myself, and while I did manage to pay out all existing debts on SEAcraft, this left me with very little money. So with Show-matches I have to re-evaluate my distribution of finanches (those that I set aside for SEAcraftTV).
Also other organizations like SYF already organize Show-matches, and I'd much prefer, myself, to pump money, if available, into either another tournament open to all (possibly a "truly"-SEA only Tournament).
I'm in talks with some people, but there hasn't been enough discussion for details to be released yet...perhaps have some more news soon.

Philosopher, PM me or write at http://saulosilvaphoto.com/aboutcontact.html with how much it normally costs you to run one of these showmatches.
In addition to sponsoring some minerals to OSC Finals, I am working with Eddie on a random challenge for later this year. We can try to figure out something regarding the showmatches.
On the other hand, if it is something that would compromise the regular OSC tournaments (you have to choose one over the other), then they might be subject to fundraising until the cash flow stabilizes. One of the conclusions can be that it is not viable, for now, to split the resources with showmatches and it is better to focus on the tournaments.
Thanks on behalf to RONSO we are able to launch a new tournament. The new tournament is yet to be named but will go on the basis of SEA-Only, Non-OSC Tournament Winners Only. It will be a $70 tournament, $50 kindly donated by RONSO and myself chucking in the rest. It will be streamed on SEAcraftTV
While a lot of stuff still needs to be worked out for this new weekly tournament, the basic idea is to provide another incentive for the SEA scene. The Tournament will only be open to those who have not won a OSC-Tournament in 2014; as such if you have won a Masters Cup, A SEAcraft Weekly etc you will be excluded from this Tournament.
In other news, I'm also been in contact with a couple of other people about doing showmatches, this is still being discussed and no real details are able to be released yet...but hopefully we'll be starting to work out some details.
I'm also trying to think of monthly, or bi-monthly Team showmatches between players from various countries...If you would be interested in seeing Showmatches like CHINA v SEA, or NA vs. SEA or Canada vs. SEA etc etc. Please let us know.
Otherwise, things are shaping up for SEAcrafTV. If you have any more ideas, or questions or would like to contribute to SEAcraftTV in any way please let us know.

That sounds awesome, RONSO is a boss for helping out like this. Hyped to see who will get some extra pocket money. Maybe this'll be my chance? *fingers crossed*

New tournament will be cool! Fill in that void for up and coming players
It's a bit hard due to your timeslot, but i'd love to see more EU + NA players getting involved.
Showmatches will be awesome!
I wouldn't push the korean angle too hard myself personally, they'll already be participating in a lot of other OSC tournaments (leifeng cups.) If they come here to signup, post, etc it's not so bad, eg Spear, Arthur.
Korean's will have access to SEAcraft Weekly as per usual. Meaning they can join every other week. Juno is gonna help out by just posting stuff on his FB Esports page, which may entice viewers from the KR region. He warned against posting on popular Korean esports forums.
In January, when I return to Sydney, I'll be speaking with Edison to discuss a CHINA v. SEA showmatch. Depending on the support I get for this, I will consider trying to do regular showmatches.
Non SC2 Related but thinking of trying to put together a small weekly Hearthstone tournament as well, given the introduction of spectator mode to Hearthstone I'd like to see what I can do with that. Anyone who has good knowledge of Hearthstone may want to consider helping put this together.

Are there (or were there) showmatches between teams academies, like x5 VS fray or VS Sith, I mean, SYF?
I actually enjoyed very much the latest LotV and RvR events.
PS: fray'SouL, :P

SEAcraftTV won't do everything, we want to keep some ideas for other people to initiate, but we will be happy to do Australian Team showmatches if that's what people want. In the past the teams have arranged this, but I'm happy to take on arranging this if there is a want from the community to do it.

If both the teams and the community show interest in team X team, like the Proleague, I will most likely support it. Prize $$$ could go to team principal and they decide internally what to do.
