Basic Info
-Each team will have a maximum of 10-player roster of which to draw their 4 players + ACE to battle every week.
-The season will run for 7 weeks and first round will commence on Friday the 27th of August Previous Friendly Nation War results (such as AU v SG, AU v NZ, SG v MY) will not count as this is a completely new competition with ladder points and standings.
Format of Matches
-four 1v1 matches played, each best-of-three
-The loser will pick the next map.
-a deciding ACE match if required (i.e if score is tied at 2-2).
The default matchday is Sunday. So in the event you have trouble fixing a scheduled time with your opponent, sunday WILL be the deadline to play. If the opponenent is not there and you are, and theres no available replacement from the opponents team manager, its a walkover in your favour, as simple as that.
The lineups will be released on Thursday, and the players are given the flexibility to play anytime from then till Sunday. Players are required to simply add their opponent as the character codes are all given here, and arrange the match by themselves. Managers are to help facilitate this and get them playing if they need pushing. Note to managers: THEY ALAWYS NEED PUSHING! As mentioned before, if you can't agree on a time Sunday will be the day to play.
Team points are awarded as follows:
Win – 3 ladder points Loss – 0 ladder points Draw – 1 ladder point Bonus Point – Winning 4-0; Losing in an ACE match Penalty – Minus 1 ladder point
For example, Team 1 wins Team 2 4-0. Team win receives 3 ladder points + 1 bonus point.
Team 3 and team 4 draw 2-2. Then 3 Then win the ace match. Team 3 gets 3 ladder points 0 bonus points and Team 4 gets 0 ladder points 1 bonus point.
In the rare event of a tie in the final league standing, we shall next look at win/loss ratio (your team score), then by game for/against (individual game scores), then by ace match victories.
Results will be updated in this thread, and team leaders must submit all team match results to an admin via email with attached replays. A match will not be counted without a replay so please remember to save them.
Team Leaders MUST pm aLt)nirvana their lineups no later than Wednesday night the weekend before a match or suffer a points penalty.
Your lineup must include FOUR players placed on which map you intend them to play on.
For a player to count on a roster, they must show SC2 race, nationality, character name (ID) and character code (###).
Example: NZ Lineup for Week 1 vs Singapore New Zealand Kowi.807 Lost Temple stroggos.825 Metapolis RefleX.746 Blistering Sands Luoson.830 Steeps Of War
-Team Leaders are to collect all the replays from their players and send them to me after the games.
-Team leaders should have the mobile contacts of their players and be in contact with the manager of the team they are playing via PMs/MSN/IRC. It is your responsibility to get your players to play their matches. You also should have a backup in the event a player cant make it, and the backup shall be used. If you dont have a back up its W/O for the other team and YOUR fault.
The usual rules regarding cheating, hacking, unsportsmanlike behaviour, foul play, offensive language and abuse apply as usual. Please use common sense as cases will be dealt with seriously and will be a detriment to your entire team. Please familiarise yourself with these basic rules, and at the risk of sounding condescending please don't hesitate to ask if your English is not great and you would like some rules explained further.
* No more than 10 players (not including manager if they don't play)
* No less than 4 players to a team
* MUST be living in the nation that they wish to represent
* Changes to the roster may be made, but if they are not made by the MONDAY prior to the next round, that player cannot participate in the upcoming round.
A walkover counted as a 2-0 victory will be awarded to the opponent of a player who does not show up at the agreed game time within 20 minutes of scheduled start time. Excessive absences once the games have started will be permitted but keep in mind that if you take longer than 10-15 minutes your opponent may be awarded a walkover depending on the nature of your absence.
In the case where a player cannot make a particular time and there are no replacements an individual game may be postponed to a time during the weekend agreed upon by both players and an admin who may ask to attend the game in order to award possible walkovers and update results ASAP.
A draw may result when two opposing teams cannot present more than 2 players for a match including replacement players.
If lag is experienced, you are encouraged to continue playing, pause to fix the problem, or reschedule the match for postponement.
If the problem cannot be resolved within 10 minutes a forced postponement or walkover will be issued.
Internet in this part of the world is not great so a small amount of lag may be expected and is no grounds to blow up. Repeat offenders may be denied participation.
Any deliberate disconnections by a player will, if proven, result in a walkover for the opponent.
Accidental disconnections within the first 3 minutes of a game will be replayed. If it happens more than 2 times in a single match the guilty player will be replaced by a replacement player or forfeited.
Accidental disconnections after the 3 minute mark will be replayed upon both player’s consent unless the admin rules via the replay that one player had a 95%+ game-winning advantage or likelihood in which case a win will be awarded to the appropriate player. If a player refuses to replay a match on the grounds of thinking they had a significant advantage (95%+ sure to win the game) they may ask another admin’s second opinion but that decision is final. A walkover will be awarded to a player whose opponent does not replay a match when they have been ordered to by an administrator.
For a rough guide on winning a match with a 95% certianty or more, imagine that you pause the game at the time of disconnections and you are replaced with a Silver rank player. If you think that the Silver player would still win in your position you have grounds to complain.
Complaints must be submitted promptly to an admin of the event and a copy sent to your team manager, accompanied by a replay and detailed description of the problem. Note that this should be done even if the problem was settled by an admin at the time just to keep everything on record. Complaints about games older than the previous round will be ignored.
* If you designate your race as being ‘random’ you are welcome to.
* If you are a race picker, this is also OK but you MUST declare which matchups you play when you submit the lineups.
* You must play as the race submitted in the lineup by your team manager.
Because of the number of teams, each round a team will be given a bye under which they don't play any games but have the chance to practice further for the next week. A bye counts as a win (3 ladder points) but will not affect any for-and-against statistics.
