Monash CGBC 2012 - The basics of getting sponsored in gaming
Last year at the Monash Computer Games Bootcamp (CGBC) 2012, I conducted a speech on behalf of in front of ~300 high school aged students.
The CGBC is a yearly event conducted by Monash staff and students and is centered around education of all things computer/gaming related. Students will partake in seminars/workshops/lectures from various people involved with various facets of gaming, including things like: Animation, Sound Engineering, competitive gaming and more.
In 2012 I did a speech on sponsorship and gaming on the main stage, covering the basics of what a sponsorship means and how to get one.
This is by no means a complete guide to sponsorship and it's definitely not a highly detailed, in-depth look. But I hoped to give the students a basic insight and information into what goes on to help assist everyone in the future.
