haha i heard him say that on gsl, lost my shit hoping they would come down for something, hopefully they see the thread and something happens! Maybe they come down for an acl or something i dunno
There's plenty around! Wonder what the price tag is to book Tastosis these days.
relatively cheap (atleast what was quoted a couple months ago) but still over the budget of any of the current aussie tournaments (with perhaps the exception of WCS Oceania?)
EDIT: as mentioned by benji our tournaments have smaller prize pools teehee

As artosis said, he would love to get PAID to go to Australia. As for internet quality, just hook up with UTS or USYD. They have mind blowing internet when it's not throttled. Any university for that matter would have good enough net for streaming, it's just the latency issue. Face it, cost of flying people out to Aus would negate very many people from coming. Best case scenario is someone donates the airfairs for artosis and co. to come down inorder to cast an ACL or similar.
Even though it sounds pretty rad, I think that the more immediate focus needs to be on bringing quality international players to our shores. Then worry about the casters. And my focus, I mean the higher priority for the spending of the hypothetical money that is paying for this.
I know that casters are a huge deal, but in the end I don't think that even Tastosis casting will get all that many americans interested in staying up to watch two guys they've never heard of duke it out, even if they are big performers on the SEA stage. Basically, Tastosis will add exposure to a tournament, but inviting players over will add exposure to the SEA player base, which I would argue fuels exposure to the tournament in its own way, and sets up the long term better.
When i was in Korea he said something about casting a big event in Australia, (this was March 2011) And he said that it was super DL so he couldn't say anything about it.
I think it turned out to be the PPSL thing.
Or maybe They're coming for WCS Sydney? (doubt it)
Someone create a kickstarter for this! Ive seen far more useless things on it like kids selling banana bread.. Could sell it as a Aussie tourney start up or something >.>.
