Just want to see if anyone else agrees with me about changing the Live Stream section to feature SEA players (this IS sc2SEA) and cut out some of the internationals???.. I don't care that Kas is streaming, if I wanted to check - I'd go to tl.net...
Can we please redesign this section of the site to be more focused on SEA players?
Yeah I agree I'm not sure why we have people there who don't even have anything to do with sc2sea I want to support our local friends and sometimes feel like the live stream function is like TL's
Like what Namakaye said.
I think don't necessarily remove the current featured streams; because I don't go to TL site often and I still would want to view which pro is streaming from sc2sea.com. But I do really agree that featured streams should be on SEA players instead.
There has always been internationals listed, Stephano, TL, Grubby, etc.
Recently i've updated and added some new ones. Quite often we might see no SEA protoss or terran streaming, so it's good to have the more options there if people are interested in checking them out, and it keeps people on sc2sea, without having to seek out streams via another site. People also access the site at all different times, so its good to have active streams running.
So we wont remove streams, they've been added for a reason, but i do like the idea of SEA streams being listed higher if possible.
I personally don't mind whatever is listed, but like Chad said, go to TL or to twitch to check whos streaming internationally, not here. If I want to see SEA specifically, here is good though.
Usually, if I see an international streamer listed here that I want to watch, I don't even click on the link here. I just go to twitch and click on them there instead. The reason is because it takes me to the actual twitch page faster than waiting for the sc2sea embedded stream page to load, then clicking the small link to go to the twitch page. Why don't I want to watch anything on sc2sea? Because the twitch preview is too damn small. Its not even good to read the sc2sea chat at the same time with, because you have to scroll down to actually read it. I usually have sc2sea's homepage open in a different tab because of this. Does anyone else do the same?
Ok, what I've done is reassess the way we list featured streams.
It is now only for the top (currently active) SEA players, or those who have shown promising results. International stars who have played in SEA tournaments recently are also listed.
Everyone else is listed below that.
