In the last 6 months or so, you may have noticed that I have been streaming regularly and can do so on higher than average Australian quality on Twitch. That's because I've moved to a house with beautiful NBN!
I've been thinking about the Australian community recently and how I miss the good ol' days when we had such a vibrant and strong Sydney scene. There were so many amazing players, so many names that still command respect today. I would love to try and help build some hype for the Sydney scene a little bit by hosting a small tournament at my house. It would be really low-key and easy going at first, but if everything goes well, who knows? This could be our version of HomeStory Cup! If it goes well maybe we can get some old names like YoonYJ, Rossi, Light Mafia and Tgun (game-traitor :P) to show up!
The plan would be to just use some spaces in my house to have one area for players and one for commentary/observing/watching. My living room is pretty big so its not hard to fit in some players to watch and commentate the games and enjoy a few beers while doing so. Oh and there's a small backyard and patio with a bbq we can use. I'm not sure if other players would need to bring their computers to set up here or not, but that's something we can maybe work out later.
The goal wouldn't be for this to be exclusively for top players, we'd like to find a way to open it up to players of all skill ranges - though ofc space and number of PCs might be an issue if we have too many people showing up.
At this moment, I'm just raising the idea and seeing if there's interest from local Sydney players to go ahead. Hopefully this idea sounds exciting to a few others and we can start organising it.
Sounds like an amazing idea ^^ Can already imagine all the fun that you guys can have *jealous

"and we'll invest more on Bots, as our first Trial bot, the 'NemBotElie' was a huge success, organising tournaments and being part of the Council of mGG. But there are a few bugs in which the bot cannot go past the skill level of a Platinum Protoss." - PaRAnorMaL
I am confident that some of the old school guys are no longer interested in sc2. I know Rossi said he doesnt want to play the game again. But hey, he might come catch up with everyone..
Sounds like a great idea! The whole Oceanic scene needs a bit of a boost. Maybe some other big names in our little corner of SC2 would be willing to do something similar?
Stay tuned for Crimson's nuts and nanies tour in his flat in New Zealand. SEA's best fighting for the converted nuts and nanies Cup. (A cup of nuts and nanies).
Awesome to see so many people interested in it! I'll aim to organise a first event after I return from Katowice. Not sure exactly what we'll be able to pull together but it should be really cool
