[Hairy]$2000 Hairy Smash End Of Year Tournament Sun Jan 4th
HAIRY SMASH!!!!!
Hey All!
The 5th Hairy Bash has recently finished, and after doing some thinking I've decided that the 6th Hairy Bash is not all that necessary, and so will not take place. Which just leaves the Hairy Smash!!!
(These details are pretty much set in stone, unless something really major happens.)

4 January 2015 12:00 PM AEDTCountdown to 4th January 12pm!

5th/6th Place - $100 AUD
7th/8th Place - $80 AUD
9th-12th Place - $60 AUD

Qualification
So far 9 players have qualified for the tournament. The remaining 7 will be decided based on OSC points.
The final day for earning OSC points is the 1st of December, so look forward to that date for a final list of participants.
In addition to the 16 players competing, an additional 8 players (based again on OSC points) will be invited to the tournament as stand-ins, should any be required.
I would hope nobody would sleep through the Hairy Smash... but it doesn't hurt to be prepared. Players will be subbed out 30mins after start time.
Players
All players are sorted in the order they will be seeded for the tournament:
Hairy Bash Qualified
Petraeus
Arthur
Spear (powerHM)
EnDerr
KingkOng
PiG
Wally
iaguz
sWs
Previously I have cast every Hairy Bash on my YouTube channel, however with a 16-player Double Elimination it will be far too crazy to cast the whole thing. I definitely plan to cast a lot of games from this tournament though, jumping around randomly and whatnot.
That's pretty much it! I look forward to seeing everyone there... it's gonna be awesome!!!
I will endeavour to send messages to all the above players in the next few days. If any player in any of the above lists knows that they cannot/will not be attending the Hairy Smash, please let me know via either this forum or a personal message on sc2sea or xhairymuppetx@yahoo.com.au
Looking forward to this, since everyone already has a seed do you think you could release the brackets earlier so I don't have to picture it in my head as I only have a small brain.

The Challonge details should be your main source of information for anything to do with playing in the Hairy Smash. If you plan on participating in the Hairy Smash, and you have any questions/problems with the information, let me know asap in this forum.
Here is a copy:
All participating players should log onto the US server and join the "Hairy Bash" group in Starcraft 2.
If you and your opponent wish to leave the "Hairy Bash" group while playing your round, or wish to move to a different server, you must notify the admin first. This is to avoid the circumstance where both you and your opponent are mistakenly marked as late/afk, and being counted as forfeiting your round.
Replacements will happen 30mins after the start of the tournament. (At 12:30 AEDT) At that time all missing players from the original 16 will be replaced at the same time. The highest seeded stand-in player will replace the highest seeded missing player, and so on. If not enough stand-in players are online, then walkovers will be granted.
Total list of maps available for this tournament
Foxtrot Labs LE
Catallena LE
Nimbus LE
King Sejong Station LE
Overgrowth LE
Merry Go Round LE
Deadwing LE
Players will take it in turns to veto one of the above maps, until only one is left, and then that map will be the first played. The player with the lowest seed (closest to 1) according to Challonge will pick first. Following the first game, the loser can choose the map for the next game out of the remaining maps in the pool. (i.e. Maps cannot be repeated.)
If a player disconnects, then the game should be continued using the Recover Game feature. If the disconnecting player does not return online within 15 minutes, then they can be counted as losing that series. (Again at the discretion of their opponent) If that player then drops to the lower bracket, they can be immediately counted as losing their lower bracket series, at the discretion of their lower bracket opponent.
NOTE: As opposed to the Hairy Bash tournaments, submission of replays is not required in order to receive winnings. However I'd still like to cast some highlight games after the tournament is finished, so anyone who sends their replays to xhairymuppx@yahoo.com.au will have my everlasting gratitude.
As all 16 competing players will all be awarded prizes, I will need payment information (paypal e-mail or bank details) from all 16 players. (If I have your info already then I will continue to use it, unless told otherwise.) Feel free to give this info to me before the tournament starts, or soon after it finishes. As with everything else, use the above e-mail address to contact me.
Unfortunately Maynarde had to pull out of casting at the last minute. Metalcore will still be casting, and I'd still be very happy to have 2 streamers doing separate paths through the brackets, so if anyone else is interested in casting please send me a message at xhairymuppetx@yahoo.com.au, or via this website.
So far Probe and MightKiwi have told me they can't make it, so I've updated the brackets to reflect this... Frustration and Armani are now competitors! I would still love the other stand-ins to come, just in case someone else is unexpectedly missing.
Disappointing to see so many no-shows to this pick up your act boys
Yeah I completely fucked up my timezones. Said I'd cast with Rifkin and didn't realize it was at the exact same time as this tournament, then couldn't find a replacement caster and didn't want to **** him over. Completely retarded from me. Really sorry
