We don't seem to already have one - how about an RSS feed for posts?
I'd rather log on and chat while posting, I don't want to sift through each forum looking for new posts to reply to, so having a list of what's changed (beyond the 'recent topics' widgets) would be awesome!
The Streamer list is too small on busy nights it would be totally cool it it were bigger, and put closer to the top so its one of he first things you see when you open the site.
Edit: apon reflection, the side bars feel a bit messy in general.
It was brought to my attention that the negative reputation was harming the community. In an ideal world, the reputation system would have just be used as a way to express how you felt about a particular post's CONTENT. However, people were taking the neg reps the wrong way, getting angry at those who have neg repped them, blindly neg repping people back etc.
Worse of all, some people were just using the system to neg rep people they didn't like when someone else who posted the same content would not be neg repped. Basically it was making most of the community more and more angry with each other, making poor relations even worse and fueling a lot of unnecessary drama.
As of now nobody will be able to give negative reputation. It has also been renamed to "Heart It" and Hearts. If someone has a better name or image to use let me know. It was just a name i thought up on the fly.
This will be just a test and in 1 week's time we will re-evaluate the situation in a feedback thread to determine what the best course of action is. If people start to use the positive comment system to make condescending remarks or for bad blood etc, they will be banned from using reputation.
I know there is a lot of information to get across when you first login to SC2SEA, and im not sure if this has been mentioned before but i feel that the website is just far too cluttered. You feel overwhelmed when you arrive at the site. I often find myself pressing ctrl + F to find the link information that I am looking for.
Is there anything that can be done to resolve this? Or am I the only person that feels this way?
Regarding thread titles- when reading the thread its often hard to see the thread title immediately, it just doesnt stand out where it is atm.
My personal thought would be to put it on the same line as the Rate Thread, Search this Thread & Thread Tools Section, theres plenty of space there and it seems to be where my eyes look when im trying to find it. but idk if thats feasible.
Maybe just Bolding the title or something would help?
Found a small bug. If you attempt to direct link to a post in the blog section. You will be directed to a invalid page stating:
"No Blog specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator"
As well as clicking on any link to a stream.
I think in general any link from the blog (unless it has already been fixed) can bug out due to the way that linking works, and that it hasn't changed for the blogs (which are inside their own directory)...
Thanks guys, when im back from seoul will look into all of these issues/bugs/additions to be added. A member has suggested including a ban list so everyone see who the banned users are and what the bans are for, to prevent misunderstandings. This will be implemented as well.
Update: Been super busy with other projects, will try to go through all these issues by 23rd april
I don't know if this has been suggested before but I wouldn't mind a 'neutral rep' or something being added. Basically I use the rep system to agree/comment on people's posts with anything that doesn't deserve it's own post (like yeah!10char, seems pretty pointless to clog a thread up with). The only reason I'm suggesting this is that I can't comment on the same person's posts twice in a row. I understand this is to stop abuse of the system, but since I don't use it in a 'karma' kind of way it just seems redundant. Just my 2c
def gonna look into adding neutral rep when im back too, and tweaking the rep system, at this moment im leaning towards removing the ability to leave neg rep comments but not the neg rep ability. still needs further discussion with the admins and we will go over the thread discussion again

The issue with this is if you get neg repped, you want to know why. I like neutral rep though!!
