I was playing 2v2 with a friend the other day on the sea server and we kept getting matched with some players that kept quitting before the game got more then 10 seconds in. After about 4 games of this I tried to talk to them to ask why? No response. Another game later I joked that I would end up in a higher league if they kept quitting like that. They responded with something along the lines of "Don't you know that if somebody instant quits then you should return the favour the next game" followed but a series of abuse. Putting aside the abuse the concept of quitting as "payback" feels wrong to me. What do you think?
As for these particular players they did finally play us. They were much better than us. Their 1v1 lev indicated diamond and master (although their skill didn't feel that high, couldn't even mineral path) We don't play much so will probably be bronze for life, so it was odd that we were matched up. I suspect they were forcing down their rank on purpose.
1. Who even plays team on sea!?
2. Those guys you played are idiots
3. Whalecum to sc2sea
1/ In the past we have had some lag issues on NA especially on team games but yeah there are not a lot of people around anymore
2/ probably but just want confirmation that i'm not missing something
3/ Thanks, been here for a while but mainly just read.
There is no such thing as courtesy pay back if someone/some team chooses to do serial quits. Just take the free win at face value and ignore what they have to say. This is a game, not a freebie. Them wanting to quit is their own decision and should not mean you are obliged to 'return any favours'.
Other reasons could be tanking mmrs, farming for protraits but yeah no such thing as a payback win the next time.
