Bored of the same old maps on ladder? Tired of the usual intense tournaments that uses similar strategies of 3 hatch before pool, 1 gate expands, reaper/wm drops etc etc etc? When is nem going to be doing another Funday something again?! Watched Shoutcraft and wished you could had played in them to try out your new ideas?
So I thought why not let's have something a little different for a change. (Why? Because nem is evil)
So grab a friend or 2 and form a team of at most 3 persons and join in the fun.
Date : 14 June 2015 (Sunday) Time : 3pm AEST/ 1pm SGT/ 5pm NZT
"Ok... wait.. what's happening again??!!"
In your team of at most 3 persons, we will have a single elimination BO3 Funday Sunday tourney using 6 of the maps in the current season of shoutcraft (format will change depending on numbers : so it might turn into round robin or double elimination for max fun capped by time constraints)
Preferably for maximum fun, in the bo3, there should be ONE 1v1 map and ONE 2v2 team game. Maps will be chosen by veto-ing (Each team chooses one veto. Last map is the map for map to use for both categories). Losers from the 2nd game will choose the 3rd map. (1v1 or 2v2 map).
"I want to play but I cant find a single partner to even pair with me "
You could pair up with another who was not able to pair up by the actual day (highly recommended) OR (not recommended but option open because everyone deserves a chance) you could go solo BEARING in mind that the opposing team will then decide how to 1v1 you as well. In such an event then all 3 1v1 maps will be used instead.
"Ok how do I sign up?"
In this thread, post your team's name and names of members + race. Sign ups close about 30 minutes before start time to allow some synergy between the teams to have a small window of discussions as the brackets will be released before start time.
Walkovers in 15 minutes past start time. (Not preferred so be committed). The usual be friendly no bm or cheating etc guidelines apply.
Report on actual day on NA to the 'sc2sea' group chat : battlenet://starcraft/group/1/7879
There are currently no prizes atm but the honour of being the best creative, innovative team despite the crazy maps.
However if anyone wishes to create a prize pool, please pm nem. This includes any interested casters.
What are you still waiting for?! Go grab a friend or 2. Go check out the maps under 'custom' on NA server. Type search 'shoutcraft' to find all these maps.

Reason: Change of date to 14 June Sunday
Somehow I will attend this thing.
Even if I have to kidnap some random civilians and force them into a net cafe with my mighty beard.
It will probably go something like this:
"No, trust me, this will be fun. Just click that building and press E to make probes. The cute things."
"Please don't kill us" "Just make a goddamn pylon or so help me god"
"What even is that?" "Click the cute thing, press E, click the map, and you get to live"
"Someone please call the police" "Less whining bronze n00b. We've got this. Make another pylon in the middle of the map. Now two gateways. That's the cute thing and G. FASTER!"
"Oh gods, I feel dirty and I don't know why" "Shut up. 2-gate is totes legit. Now make Zealots. Click the gateways and the Z key. Just do that."
"Everything just died to acid. Oh gods, Oh gods, I don't want to die, not in a netcafe." "Oh shit, I forgot this was a shoutcraft map. Quick, type something like 'Get r3kt n00bs, u r trash' and quit out. You are free to go. I have to go commit sudoku now. GG no re ;_;"
---Edit---
PREPARE TO GET

After some thought, I'm changing the event to 6 June on the day before the ACL qualifiers. So it will be on Saturday instead.

I would play... but there is a massive party in town hosted by one of the clubs. Stay home and play SC2, or get sloshed and have some form of social life before uni exams... D:

Sorry but got to shift the date one more time. BUT there should be no more changes. This is because the weekend is apparently going to jam packed with exciting sc2 tourney/qualifiers events!
So it is now going to be on the 14th June Sunday (Sunday again).
No one else is allowed to take the slot anymore (*shifty eyes*)

Teammates are invited to be in the same game lobby to spec the games. I'm going to trust no cheating, bm etc. Players are encouraged to stream from their pov.

15 minutes to go!!
Brackets will close 5 minutes before start time.
I've decided to add a small victory prize for the winning team at AUD$5 per member in the team capped at AUD$15 max per team of course (before SG tax deductions for paypal that is).
Think of it as maybe an ice cream cone when u guys meet up at ACL or other lans. Not meeting each other? Buy the ice cream anyway and webcam eating and chilling with each other over skype
OR maybe as part of something you want to get etc etc.

There were some really close games though some games we thought we would be more interesting didnt happen. E.g. Engines of war... everyone ended admiring the cannon and its range and not actually using it lol
