What is Epic Games Night?
Epic Games night is a night of casual and competitive gaming hosted by the Computer Science Students' Association of the ANU in Canberra once a semester. This semester we plan to have all those and more and are including a BYOC Starcraft II tournament and DotA2 and LoL tournaments (played online, cast live) with the help of the ANU PC Gaming Society. Other board and video games that will be at EGN will be listed on the website shortly. There will also be a room for casual BYOC players. There will be pizza available @ $5 for a whole pizza.
(if disaster strikes, we will have a backup disk but patching takes ages over wireless)
For SC2, an account on the NA server to guarantee map availability
*Membership costs $5, grants entry to other CSSA events, covers all of 2012 (not that there's much left), and is available to non-ANU students.
Tournament Format
The tournament for SC2 will be double elimination from the Ro8 onwards. This stage will be played live at the CSIT building.
All matches will be Bo3 until the grand final which will be Bo5.
Ro16 is a group stage, all-play-all Bo3s. Top two of each group will advance to the Ro8.
Submit results and replays by midnight on Monday. Choose the first map together, then loser picks the follow on map.
There will be a chat channel on battlenet tomorrow called EGN, which might make it easier to contact people.
Prize pool (not yet finalised, there may be other prizes too):
1st Prize: Limited Edition Heart of the Swarm to be collected on release day from EB Games Canberra Centre (or alternative if already owned)
2nd Prize: Razer Goliathus mouse mat

Definitely for the live tournament, hopefully for the group stages too. This time with the sound set-up tested beforehand.
