could someone kindly please post this up on the TL thread as a Singaporean meetup? There are some Singaporean TL Lurkers there that might turn up too, and put a link to this post!

btw Frogmite/Alex why is your avatar holding a wussy beer like a Kronenbourg 1664 instead of something strong and manly like a Baron's, or a Sapporo or Budweiser (which sucks, but still is more manly than a Kronenbourg 1664) yo!

1664
By Kronenbourg
For those who don't know, 1664 is a french beer, so yes we don't only drink wine.
What the hellion is that beer?
Kronenbourg Brewery (Brasseries Kronenbourg) is a brewery founded in 1664 by Geronimus Hatt in Strasbourg, France (at the time a Free Imperial City of the Holy Roman Empire) as the Hatt Brewery. The name comes from the area (Cronenbourg) where the brewery relocated in 1850. The company is owned by the Carlsberg Group. The main brand is Kronenbourg 1664, a 5.5% abv pale lager which is the best selling premium lager brand in France.
Kronenbourg 1664, the company's main brand, is a 5.5% pale lager first brewed in 1952. It is the leading brand of beer in France, where it has a 40% market share. It uses the Strisselspalt hop - a French aroma hop from Alsace, used mostly in pale lagers. The main Kronenbourg 1664 brewery (where Kronenbourg also produces almost 300 other beer brands) is in Obernai (France), but the brand is also brewed in the UK by Heineken at its Manchester brewery at 5.0% abv, as well as in Australia by Fosters Group.
Why 1664 is good for you?
1664 is France in a beer bottle, so if you feel you're male enough to handle it then a new world of frenchization is opening to you. For example, i paste a photo of me the last time i had a 1664 inside a bar in Singapore, now you know what i'm speaking about.
It may appear to be a light beer with its 5.5%, defined as a pale lager, but beware the percentage tagged on the bottle is not for the alcohol percentage, it defines the percentage of men that can actually drink it and still are able to stay straight on their three legs. I will conclude by saying that 1664 is maybe not a beer for men, but one for males.
Those who disagree can argue with me at the Barcraft through a Beer Drinking Contest
