Currently (in Gold league) in PvT I've noticed the most common builds are the 1-1-1 marine tank banshee all-in, the 1 rax fast expand, and the 3-rax early pressure in to expand build.
The three-rax push is what I've had most problems with, (for a long while I thought it had gone out of fashion) and I've found it nigh impossible to not at least lose my expansion to this push, so I end up behind as he will be expanding as he pushes, and I'm stuck being behind for the remainder of the game.
Here's a replay of the most recent incident, where I held off the push just by forcefielding my ramp until he went home. I teched to colossus, got scanned, and saw an increasing number of vikings so decided to push before it got too high and got smashed, but I don't think that mattered all that much since I was already so far behind by then, from my perspective.
I just saw your replay and this is what I feel you could have done.
Now you got a fast orbs which means you could see what he was going for! firstly you didnt move your orbs around his base to see how many barracks he had so if you did you would have known that it was an all in!!
With that many barracks being placed on one base then you should know that you need to defend. Which means you had 2 choices.
Either you dont get your expo and tech with sentries to defend your ramp
or with you expo you should put up a lot of static defense!
I would go for the tech route because if he attacks you he is looking to do damage and hopefully kill you, you knew this was coming so you shouldnt have put down your nexus if you weren't going to be able to defend it! teching to collosie is a good idea but imagine if you didnt get the expo and spent that money on your army while techin to collosie! you would be able to crush his army without even trying!!
Another thing is with your sentries! you have to try to make use of what you have and what you can do with it.. I know when he destroyed your expo you were in a panic and kept FF your ramp but what is the point in that when he didnt even try to go up your ramp! you should keep warping units like stalkers and wait for him to push up then FF his army in half and you can take on his army little by little this will push your advantage and make his army smaller and make it more difficult for him to expand!
Now with your last attack I noticed that before you attacked you sent an orbs and saw he had bunkers up so having so many zealots dont work so well due to the ai pathing... i suggest getting some zeals to tank the damage but you need damage dealers of your own and aa to kill the vikings so stalkers would be a better option with the help of sentries FF you could melt the army away with those 2 collosie!!
hope this helps you even a little bit!
but so summarize I would say you had enough information and yet you didnt react to it and did your own thing which lead to you losing more than you should have! if you see so many barracks its better to prepare yourself for an attack because if you defend that even if your on one base you are at a greater advantage because you have higher tech and units~ this was the biggest mistake in that game which costed you the game~
Thanks Zula And I probably should have WATCHED that replay before submitting it lol, I thought it was 3-rax not 5, so that was an entirely different build than I thought it was :P

Monobattle mentality: "Oh? He's got Brood Lords? Guess I'd better make more banelings."
You should be able to hold 3-rax push with 1-gate FE. If you scout 3-rax, just add 3x gates earlier, and don't drone so hard. You will end up with 4x gates vs 3x rax (and you have 3-4 sentries, if you do a proper 1-gate expo). Most people, when they go up against 3-rax push, for some reason continue to make probes. Stop probe production and spam army, 3-rax comes at 8 mins, your expo is up at 6:30. 1,5 mins is enough to get a decent stalker count with sentries.
Alternatively, if you scout 3-rax, you can cancel natural and go 5-gate all-in, and if he expands behind the push, he won't be able to D a counter-push.

1. Your Observer was epicly lazy and just sat there at the ramp. You missed crucial information (2 more raxxes going up) After that you should have cancel'd ur expo and fast teched colls.
2. Probes. Try to keep building probies the whole game. I noticed you stopped without enough probes.
3. Bunkers: Try not to run into a line of 3 bunkers. They will rip you apart.
4. Tech switch: Once that much vikings are out a tech switch works well. Try getting charge and adding some HT's and Archons

@FaDeSorathez
2 things you should not do:
Put the same replay in 2 different threads as you did;
Make 3 people watch your replay and analyze it without even looking at it. That's really lazy and you can't progress without work. Learning to understand your own replays is key and you're only going to improve at that if you watch them.
