For the 9th spot in the xGTL, we will be holding an open qualifier. The qualifier will take place during the month of May and is open to any Pro Team. If you are interested in your team participating in the qualifier, the team manager needs to submit the following information.
You must include:
Team name
Sponsors
Manager and contact details
Player roster including player race.
If you apply for the qualifier you acknowledge that your team is able to attend the qualifiers, and also able to participate in the main league in June and July. You will be expected to provide 4 players for 8 weeks. League Games will take place during weeknights, qualifier games will take place at an appropriate time.
Details such as dates and formats will be released once we know how many teams are interested in qualifying. The format will most likely be a single elimination bracket with random seeding, however can change depending on number of interested teams.
We reserve the right to deny applications should we feel that you do not meet the requirements of the league.
If you have any questions please contact me via PM.
Due to ASiT occupying Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays as well as ASUS ROG Invite Qualifiers taking Mondays, all 3 qualifier nights will be on Friday. The main league has games on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. If your team cannot field 4 players on a Friday, you are going to have issues in the main league.
May 4th 20:00 KST - Ro8
May 11th 20:00 KST - Ro4
May 18th 20:00 KST - Finals
Format:
The format will be the following:
Set 1: 1v1 Bo3
Set 2: 1v1 Bo3
Set 3: 1v1 Bo3
Set 4: 1v1 Bo3
Set 5: Ace, 1v1 Bo3 Revival (You may reuse any player from previous sets)
If you have questions about the format, please ask. I do not want teams not understanding the format and handicapping themselves as a result.
First team to win 3 sets wins the match. The remaining maps are not played out. (In the main league, the first 4 sets are always played)
Player submission is due 24 hours before the match. You are required to submit players for the first 4 sets, the 5th set is to be decided on the day, after the 4th set is completed. Failing to submit the lineup will result in a forfeit. Please submit them via sc2sea PM.
All maps are preset, and will be posted 1 week out from the match.
On the game day, should a player not be available for his match 10 minutes after the lobby is created, he will forfeit the map. Should he be another 10 minutes late, he will forfeit the set. All sets are to be played in order, you may not substitute players after the 24 hour deadline for roster submission.
Only the Manager from each team will be allowed to spectate.
Channels, maps and admins will be allocated closer to game day.
Alright then, may I ask why StorM are invited then? I didn't think they had any sponsors, therefore they are a clan no?
EDIT: I don't mind the sponsorship rule (rules are rules, fair enough) I'm just questioning whether StorM abide by them.
