Its been a fun month and a bit, running and taking part in our first ever Fusion Slug Clan Tournament. We invited 7 other teams to take part in games over 5 weeks, to determine who would come out on top!
The fusion slugs started their journey vs Team Night and were given a 5-1 hiding! But this result only seemed to motivate our players and the rest of the group games saw 5-3 wins over both mGG and QED, two very strong sides.
This gave the Fusion Slugs a semi final match vs FaDe and against the player at the time with the best record in the competition (ChaynesOre). The Slugs were able to see off both challenges and record another 5-3 victory!
The final saw a rematch vs Team Night. The slugs were 0-2 against them, having lost in a Clan War, plus the earlier mentioned opening match. After Syllian gave them a 1-0 opening, Eagle came in with a superb 3 kill, to get the score to 4-1. Team Night's ace Raptor started a strong comeback and got the game to 4-4. In the ace match, BattleToast was able to hold off relentless pressure from Raptor to win the series and the tournament for the Fusion Slugs, 5-4.
I want to thank all the slugs who took part, helped scout and just supported during the tournament. A big thankyou to all the casters, opposition captains and players and anyone else who helped me get this tournament run! Thankyou all
I'd just like to reiterate what Antelope said. I watched a lot of the games and I hope you guys continue to run this maybe again after SEACL so that we can see more exposure from all the teams!
Thxs for having organized this. Had loads of fun especially the excitement and discussions each week amongst teammates. Great job! Loved all your writeups too and was always looking forward each week to read them.
My first ever clan-tournament experience! Was so much fun looking forward to thursday every week. Huge props to Ben who handled all the dirty work in the background so we could just play and cheer and bite nails and have fun!
