Today, some player was stupid enough to decide to create a new account and stream while Map Hacking. He quickly found himself with 80 viewers and got to in 3 hours.
I took the occasion to watch how Map Hack software works and I took some screenshots to share.
Sorry Slowhand, I edited my first post while watching his video. In fact he purposely created a new account and decided to stream from the placement match while Map Hacking. He ended in .
This is far more complex than I had ever anticipated.
I played a Protoss with the same sort of name as this guy. Watched the replay - he definitely wasn't hacking because I snuck a gold base that he never found ahah.
Still very annoying that this shit is running in some 'black market communities' though

Dooo dooo dodo!
I played someone with roughly the same name last night. Very likely wasn't the same person, but even so. Didn't know about so many alert's to supply/drops etc
I almost like a controlled custom map like this to practice noobies on so they can have things yelling at them to build depots, anticipate drops and learn timings. Then take it off and see what happens. Training wheels of a sort.
That's really interesting o_o I can't help but think maphacks like this would be really good for practicing to understand timings and when you should be scouting your opponent....but only in custom games. I sure wish I had something that told me when to inject my hatcheries like it tells you to build supply depots though!
edit: iaguz y u post the same thoughts a second before I do? T_T stop it
does the maphack only come with the build more supply depots function or the drop function? i mean if a player just uses that function and not the rest, u definitely cant tell if he's maphacking or not.
