Hello, little hyper-intelligent islanders. FunkyGraham calling from the insulated mainland of the US of A. I've played SC2 for a number of months ever since getting it for Christmas last year, on a four-year-old laptop that rejects all manner of games and media as if they were contraband organs. Skype is almost definitely impossible, which may complicate things. If I could run Skype alongside anything else, or at all, I would already be in Gold or Plat by now.
I've had poor Lenny upgraded over the years, new hard drive here, doubled ram there, but I cannot swear in a court of law that he has a GPU. As such, lag is my biggest actual problem in advancing within the game, as well as my lowered confidence due to the unusual amount of toxicity I have encountered...I kid you not, one time I wished I was playing Call of Duty instead. At least those are just kids...
My irl losses are part of it as well, my life taking a downward turn, losing most everything adults value, puts me in no position to upgrade my system, so I will have to work around it in all things. This includes the aforementioned absence of Skype.
As for gameplay experience, I am considered an achievement junkie. I have almost 4000 points in my name with max levels, and have almost all of the campaign missions cleared on Brutal, even though my relevant multiplayer records are Silver and Bronze. I balked at the lack of a manual for the game, and learning it by myself was a steep curve. It took me three months to figure out that double-clicking would select all of one unit or building type, and more than that to use control groups in the most rudimentary sense. Now, I'm working on hotkeys, which will require me to choose a race. I can't decide! Which is most fun?
I love stuff from all of them, and I like being a support role in 3v3s and above. I actually got Platinum in 4v4 because I would take the brunt of the inevitable cheeses, and when the dust settled it's my three partners with deathballs in a thin ling broth against two or more failed cheesers. I'm a cheese magnet. I'm like soup. :3
I hope this isn't too long! I used to do forum stuff several years ago and I talk a whole lot today. It's compensating for the lack I get in real conversation, as I am quite autistic. I am unbelievably smart, but I never seem to be able to use this knowledge myself. It leads to people picking on me for not being able to heal myself, or blaming me for negligence or omission, so I hope this place is safe. Ugh, so much hate from this game. I almost stopped playing at all until I found you guys.

Anyway, just hang around the chat whenever you can! (But considering your location and timezone I don't think there would be much people online when you're awake lol)

First whalecum I received was from ProzeR plus he stalked my Facebook profile as well, nice to meet all of you I finally got a site to hang out

I agree it would be good. About half of our clan is na and the other are sea....a few of those are in clans already here. There are only so many people. lol
Hi I am new in SEA and I'm looking for sc2 active players.. I live in Bangkok now and I come from france. Nice to meet you guys, I will play again in 3 weeks end of october (no serious internet connection atm).
Hey guys I'm looking to get back into the game after I stopped being active in it about a year ago. I don't really play too much on the SEA server, but I'm happy to play on it more often if there are any active players on this site on it. I live in Melbourne, and I plan to be online more often when my exams finish in November. Nice to meet everyone here
I am new ish to Starcraft 2 HotS! I played SC2 WoL back in the day and i was Diamond zerg, but i figured i might as well change race to Protoss because why not xD
I would love to practice and perhaps join a clan? :P (oh and i'm pure Aussie)
Welcome all always good to see many new faces. Say hi and join us in the main page chats and join some of the tournaments we have running

"and we'll invest more on Bots, as our first Trial bot, the 'NemBotElie' was a huge success, organising tournaments and being part of the Council of mGG. But there are a few bugs in which the bot cannot go past the skill level of a Platinum Protoss." - PaRAnorMaL
Hey guys, Smiteman here playing out of Sydney, currently plat random, mostly play on NA but wouldn't mind maybe jumping in and getting my butt whooped in some of the tournies or prac games whatever, also dropped a fair bit of time into learning some toss and terran builds lately (still working on zerg) and been streaming the efforts on twitch if anyone wants to swing by, just look under Smiteman, thanks for reading through =)
Hey everyone my name is Dreamtime. I am new to SC2, and I am new in Melbourne as well having moved here with my family from country NSW. I am really into the fighting game scene and I attended this years Shadowloo Showdown which was awesome. Got my arse handed to me but it was fun.
Anyway, I used to feel anxious playing 1v1 games, which is why I never played much of SC2. However, Street Fighter really helped me overcome that.
Greetings from Singapore. Long time Starcraft fan who just purchased HotS about a month ago to play arcade. Gonna switch up to playing standard and/or ladder soon. Will welcome any form of advice or guidance! ^^
Would also like to know where the general SEA community plays. Almost everyone seems to be on Americas. Is that right?

Hi fellow Singaporean, most of us play on NA because SEA is a dead server. For you, you'd definitely find the ping to KR much better than NA. Do hang out at chatbox more often and eventually join a clan (I recommend mGG because their leader, Nemesis, is Singaporean too). See you around, there are many good Zergs here to give you advice whenever you need!
I am Aequitas I am from Melbourne, Australia. My favourite race is Protoss. I am level 13 and Silver in 2v2 on the NA server but I hope to improve with the help of this website and everyone on it.
My name is Crimson, that's my actual name, from Brisbane and I've just started playing SC2. I used to watch a bit a couple years back but never played. Never knew what I was looking at so stopped watching after a while. However, a few months back, a good friend of mine introduced me to StarCrafts on YouTube. Best. Thing. Ever. I watched it all and HAD to play the game afterwards. I also HAD to play Toss. Dat Zealot.
I started playing in... April I think, but struggled to get past level 2 training mode. Lame huh. So I wandered away from the game to play other things. But then, not sure what prompted me, last week I decided to get back into it and have played approx. 80 games. Got past level 3 training mode and moved on to vs A.I. Can beat Hard, but that's about it. My APM is only 20. I've been watching a lot of streams and replays from GMs but I'm not improving much. Just need to play more games I know, but the slow going is a little de-motivating.
I play on the NA server since it's more populated. Only 3 friends so far, could do with some more. Feel free to add me! Also any advice would be much appreciated. I don't really have a weakest match-up right now since I struggle against them all atm.
Anyways, I hope to be making some friends here so please drop a line and say hello.
