My name is Brent and I represent a newly formed organisation called Ascension. Ascension was first formed back in 2012 but had to disband due to University and School commitments from players within the organisation. I am now looking to bring back the organisation with global presence having multiple teams and players around the world. I have been involved in the Australia Gaming Scene for 5-6 years and have seen and worked with some top teams.
My Plans.
I am planning on this organisation being a globally wide known name within the gaming scene. As I have multiple years of experience within gaming organisations and having been a player myself, I know what players expect and want from their organisation. But as I am restarting this organisation from the ground up I need the right support staff and rosters to do so. I am a very dedicated person I strive for greatness in everything I do whether it be big or small, I consider myself a great entrepreneur who is not afraid to chase big opportunities and put in the work needed to do so.
The Future.
At this current time I am unable to provide any kind of financial or product support as I current have no sponsors linked with the organisation. But in the future my main focus will be to support all or most players within the organisation anyway I possibly can whether it be financial, gaming gear or even assist with LAN payments etc.
My Expectations. I take quite a relaxed approach to things, but I expect you to constantly be learning. I would obviously expect you to be practicing regularly and competing regularly. It is important that you are regularly learning different things about play style and also able to recognise your mistakes. I like to keep in touch regularly with my players and have constant knowledge on how their games are going and how their practice is going. I take a very 'hands on' approach with my players as I am very interested in how they are progressing along with their gaming and if the organisation is able to help in anyway possible.
What I have to offer.
What can't I offer is the real question. Once I have the right roster of players in the organisation there is not a great deal that cannot be accomplished if you are putting in the work and training in game to make yourself the best you can possibly I will work twice as hard to make sure you have strong support in order for your performance to be in top form. Once I have a strong roster of players who are placing top 3 or dominating tournaments or even the players who have the right attitude and dedication, I will find you the sponsors that are seen as fit to support you in any and every way possible.
If you have any questions feel free to ask me, and I will be more then happy to assist with your query.
To express your interest in joining the organisation please email me using the organisation email below.
Heard about this through some people, and I'd like to welcome you to the scene dude! Only heard good things about ya, so this doesn't seem to be another "dodgy" org starting up. *cough* Av *cough*
All the best dude! I'm really keen to see what sort of roster you can pull together to start with and develop into a strong team.
The initial start of an organisation is always the hardest, picking up sponsors and players can be difficult but remember that most great organisations had humble beginnings. Best of luck to your endeavors and I hope you persevere to become a staple part of the community
Awesome to see a new team forming up! I wasn't apart of the community back in 2012 but seems you have a good reputation so all the best luck! Looking forward to seeing what players join up.
As I have multiple years of experience within gaming organisations
such as?
Good luck mate, its always hard to build a new team from the ground up and get sponsorship support. The biggest hurdle you'll face is trust, trust from your players that you are working hard to get them what they deserve and trust from sponsors that you'll be able to deliver valuable ROI for them. Be as open and up front as you can about what you can offer all parties.
Take it you being apart of Fray you will definitely know about Cybergamer, I helped here and there with Taunted and saw first hand how it was run in terms of sponsor control, also helped to kick start Team Legacy with some minor sponsors. Nothing big, but I used to closely follow and discuss with multiple team managers about what they did etc.
So I have a pretty decent knowledge of how to go about things and hopefully finding the right staff and roster will enable me to utilise all of this.
good'o matey.. I just asking because when you set up a new team like this, you're the one asking people to join you. Its not how many people see it as them joining you, but you need to get people to join. I see it as a reverse job interview, your the company, but the employee is interviewing you to see if they want to apply. So you need to provide heaps of detail.
Good luck with things, I'm always keen to help out a SC2 team, so any thing you need, PM me.
Whick or 'Real Mo Geez' as he goes by now, I've known him for years through CoD. Extremely enthusiastic and a hard worker, hope you can fill a nice roster!
