I have thought about upgrading to a Mech Switch Board but have never used one so don't know what the real hype about them are, and as I play a lot of FPS games as well, will a mechanical switch board make any difference...?

Mouse: Logitech g9x (without the chunky shell)
Headphones: Brainwavz: M2 Canal phones (never had better noise cancelling from any headset)
Mousepad: Steel series hard plastic mousepad nfi the technical name / Func pad (rough surface)

I made the switch recently and you really feel the difference typing and using one straight away. Have a look at what type of cherry switch you would prefer but generally they say that most FPS players prefer the black cherry. I myself have a brown cherry keyboard and i can say that i'm really happy with it.

thanks for this glade! no wonder u are able to focus with people yelling all around, I've been looking for the most noise canceling headphones for a while now and these might do the job!
what do you do for a mic?

20 dollar Logitech keyboard, and a Logitech gaming mouse I received for Christmas. Kinda want a nice keyboard but honestly never had any complaints with it.
Mouse: Razer Naga Epic (I think its called lol)
Keyboard: Keyboard I got with my computer, some type of cheap type one, want to get Blackwidow though
Mouse Pad: Cheap and nasty acer mousepad, waiting for my White-ra Special Tactics one I won in stream
Headset: Cheap LG headset that cost about 20 bucks, sound on it ok so no complaints.
Not really kitted for competitive play but meh.

Mousepad: A4 Graph Pad (that is right my mouse pad is my graph paper for maths)
