To accommodate for the size and diversity of both of our clans, the tournament will include a Bo5 format where each week the league requirements for each set will vary. For the purposes of the separation between the three main divisions within there will be, for example, a / match included in each match day, a minimum of two // matches and one / match. The league requirements for the ace match will be specified each match day.
Each series will be a Bo3 set, where the starting map will be determined on a week by week basis. The loser picks map rule applies in this tournament, where the loser of the map will be able to chose from the map pool below.
The rules that are adopted for pro league will be similarly utilised in this tournament.
The organisation for each match will be scheduled between each player manager/captain, whom are highlighted in the teams listings. Each manager is responsible for reporting to Spartaz, their arranged series, teams chosen and after the set, the results of each match.
The first match day will commence from Monday 20th of January onward. The period for the first match day is varied from the rest of the tournament. Each team will be given two weeks in order to arrange/practice for/play their set.

It has been some time since the last series, but finally the ToRTL is back! This week the honey badgers are looking to take on the ferocious drop bears in this Bo5 series. The Drop bears have had longer to prepare for their first set of the league, which may or may not give them the advantage heading into this series. But, in saying that, off the back of the hard fought win by the "honey bunnies", the lads have something to prove! The series to watch out for tomorrow night would probably come down to the heated match between Jemsk and Sleepycod. Jemsk has shown some solid play so far and with his latest promotion to gold, he is a player to be reckoned with. Sleepycod however is a newer player to , who will be looking to prove that he has that special something to offer his new team. We are in for one hell of a match!

Well we are about half way through the competition guys and it is looking very close so far! Tonight two series will be picks of the week with the heated ZvZ between new boys Sleepycod and Jombie, then the battle of the whose mech we all love, Fur, and the one whom Fur claims to be a Fake_ToR, the Zerg himself - NXZ!
Set 1: ToRSleepycod () 0 vs 2 ToRBreadfan () Set 2:ToRDjvillian () 2 vs 0 ToRLokth () Set 3: ToRFlux () 0 vs 2 ToRSatu () Set 4: ToRFur () 1 vs 2 ToRNXZ () Ace: To be decided. The ace will be a repeat of Set 1.
A scheduled screening of the games will be played sometime over the next two weeks
Friday 9.30pm NZDT, 7.30pm AEDT, 4.30pm SGT
Well look at that... for this match up Team Honey Badgers are fielding more than Team Terran! HuT and DanO have a history of TvT, going into this series of the match week 3. This match will be the one to look out for. Neither player has been playing as often as they did during their peak, it will be interesting to see which Terran will be able to take the other out!
Set 1: ToRJemsk () vs ToRLuneth () Set 2: ToRSuzy () 0 vs 2 ToRErasmus () Set 3:Fake_ToRHuT () 2 vs 0 ToRDanO () Set 4: ToRPezz () 0 vs 2 ToRChobosniper () Ace: To be decided. The ace will be a repeat of Set 1.
Hopefully this event will keep us all busy with the lead up to the start of the first semester for uni students and high schoolers. Hopefully it will prove to be a fun and exciting way of everyone getting stuck in with their respective teams and just enjoying their StarCraft
Oh and one final note.... the team who wins the first season of the ToRTL will receive kits for each player who participated in the league! (The design will be drafted in the coming weeks!)
And for the highest performing players, i'll see if I can get something arranged as prizes, to reward some of that dedication (it will probably be based on win % over the season or on games player/won, something along those lines.)

Psh, why is this even a competition? With DAVID MOTHER ******* KONG as well as gosuryan on our team, it's impossible to lose. Just give us the 1st place prize already so we can not waste any time with pitiful fools

Yep definitely. Each team will submit their confirmed line up to me, so that I can post it up in the main post/fb group.
Of course when it comes to a series where team 1 will be playing, the opposition will submit their line up to one of the other captains to post it in this thread.
Okay I have a spreadsheet ready to go with w/l ratio and team lists etc. I just need fellow Scot Buffalo's league and I am done. I don't know if this has been done already but I was bored so I did it anyway!
Monday 27th of January - 9pm NZDT, 7pm AEDT 4pm SGT
The first series of the season is nearing and this series is building up to be an intense one. From the comments so far, "Team Honey Badgers" has been claimed to be rather OP by some, they will be looking to prove this statement to be true with this series. The set to watch out for would have to be set 4, with Team Silicon Sports team mates looking to face off against each other in this best of three. It is a series that shouldn't be missed tonight! As Petrify has said previously, "Do I get the chance to make Jack (Pezz) my bitch again?", we'll have to wait and see how that goes this evening.
Set 1:TCPKiaSu () 2 vs 0 ToRJemsk () Set 2: TCPBuffalo () 0 vs 2 ToRSpartaz () Set 3: ToRZenabi () 1 vs 2 ToRMissAsuzy () Set 4:ToRPetrify () 2 vs 0 ToRPezz ( Ace: ToRZenabi () 1 vs 2 ToRSpartaz ()
Once I have a confirmed stream link, hopefully Pox is around this evening , i'll be posting it up on the ToR Fb page and i'll edit it into this post. Gl hf Silverbeet, you're going to need it Honey badgers fiiiighting~
Thursday 30 of January - 10pm NZDT, 8pm AEDT 5pm SGT
After an exciting first series that took place on Monday, we finally have our second series of the match week! One one side we have a predominantly QLD based team, on the other a team seeking to prove that Terran is the dominant race in SC2. The match up to look out for in this series would have to be Schnitzel vs Chobosniper. Two eCKo team mates fighting it out for the glory of their respective teams. This will be a match not to be missed! (My money might be on Team Brisvegas, they do have Lemminks afterall!)
Set 1: ToRKoketsu () 0 vs 2 ToRBreadfan () Set 2: TCPXilent () 0 vs 2 TCPLemminks () Set 3:ToRElusory () 2 vs 0 TCPChasemGG () Set 4: ToRChobosniper () 1 vs 2 ToRSchnitzel () Ace: To be decided. The ace match will consist of players from sets 2 and 3 as this week is the opportunity for ace!
Best of luck to both sides in this competition, i'll be doing a live update of the scores in the sc2sea chat/this post, so don't forget to keep an eye out to see whose setting the pace for this match!
There are still a few games to be played in order to finish up Match week 1, but in preparation for the next set up games here's the format from Monday 03 of Feb onwards:
Match Week 2:
Team Honey Badgers vs Team Drop Bears
Team Silverbeet vs Team Terran
- Set 1: Habitation Station ( ) BO1
- Set 2: Daedalus Point ( ) BO1
- Set 3: Frost ( ) BO1
- Set 4: Polar Night ( ) BO1

After some feedback, we will be trialing a slight format change. From set 1 to set 4, each match will be Best of One series. For the ace match the series will be a Bo3.
Managers ready your players, get-a-organising and gl hf for the coming matches lads

We have been a little slack in terms of getting the games streamed this week. Playing catch up to last week's series, alongside playing our ESLTC games has left us a bit disorganised. So we will be doing a replay cast at some stage next week showing 2-3 of the series that were played this week!
- Set 1: Yeonsu ( ) BO3
- Set 2: Habitation Station ( ) BO3
- Set 3: Heavy Rain ( ) BO3
- Set 4: Akilon Wastes ( ) BO3

We've past the halfway point in the first season of the ToRTL so far and there have been some eye opening games and series produced through the league! Check out the brackets for the current standings in the league HERE!
Managers, you have two weeks to schedule and play your games, so please get on it and send through the line ups to me ASAP! Good luck have fun all teams ^^

We're back again! It feels like so long since the last series was played TT, but fortunately we have some games that (hopefully) will be available for viewing tonight. The match of the night would have to be that between Lokth and Zenabi! In the past Lokth have showcased some stellar PvZ play and Zenabi is no slouch when it comes to vsing protoss. This will be a series not to be missed! Another series that could turn heads is that between Pox and Satu. Since switching to Random, Pox has developed some rather... interesting builds to say the least.
Set 1: ToRBreadfan () vs TCPKiaSu () Set 2: TCPLemminks () vs TCPTragicHero () Set 3: ToRLokth () vs ToRZenabi () Set 4: ToRSatu () vs ToRToRToRToR (Pox) () Ace: To be decided. The ace will be a repeat of Set 4.
Unfortunately, we've kinda slacked behind in terms of keeping the streaming consistent over the past few weeks or so. But hopefully once we've collected all the replays, we might be able to make a few nights of some good games , best of luck you guys
