Real Name: James Palmer, but everyone calls me Jamie, i was named James at birth, but only my uncle calls me that now. Akas: I go by Another, or IrisAnother these days, but on a lot of forums/Wc3 i am/was L3g3nd_ (dont laugh T_T - i was young) Occupation: Student i guess, done 2 years of uni, now taking a year off as i got sick of it, working where i can and playing sc2 Date Of Birth: 26 March 1992 City/Country: New Zealand, was born in Palmerston North and grew up there, moved to Wellington in 2010 for Uni, and been here since. Hobbies: Well, Starcraft. I watch select TV shows, and some movies, i used to be really into sport, but that was centered in Palmerston and Wellington doesnt have the same scene, so had to give it up, most of my free time goes to starcraft
Clan/Team: Team Iris ! Flaunt and myself started Iris late last year after the NA team we were on disbanded. Now Navi is the manager and Flaunt has left, we have a team house in Wellington too : ) SC2 Goals: I think every sc2 player dreams of being the greatest, winning GSLs and MLGs. I guess more realistic goals however is to qualify for some overseas tournaments and get to meet sc2sea players, and compete with them at a ACL or WCS or IEM or something like that Life and Career Goals: God knows. If not something in eSports, then i guess a desk jop of sorts, really dont know.
Notable SC2/Gaming Achievements: I Won a couple of eSport NZ LAN's. Came first in the second NZ cup and come second in the first NZ cup. I came third in a GGA qualifier and third in a masters cup or go4sc2 awhile ago, i think thats about it. Featured Online Vods:
Favourite Strategy: I do enjoy a build i saw from MC, basically its a +1 4gate vs zerg but you get a fast twilight and third and eventually fourth gas and go into a +2 blink all in. Very fun wins, i love blink micro in PvZ Favourite Babe: If you mean child, then Pet, if you mean woman, Im horrible with actors names, but probably either Brittany Murphey or Cécile de France in Around the World in 80 days, though i havent found her that attractive in anything else Favourite Food: At the moment i probably Mince on Penne Favourite Drink: Monster Import Favourite Movie: Phantom of the Opera (2004) - the one with Gerrard Butler as the phantom Favourite Song: Cant choose one so ill list a couple, Parkway Drive - Smoke 'em if you got 'em (the Dont Close Your Eyes EP version), Parkway Drive - Romance is Dead, August Burns Red - Composure
Players Respected: I probably wont remember everyone i respect as theres a lot, but top 5 is probably: PiG, Mafia, Light, Iaguz and Jazbas Arch-Nemisis: Dont really have someone like that, but i guess Jaz and i are or at least were for a bit the top 2 in NZ, i always enjoy playing him. Pet is also one of the best in NZ atm, and weve played a lot in tournaments - I beat him 4-2 at an auckland lan, and 5-2 (or 3) in NZ cup final, Then he beat me 2-1 at WCS, i havent beaten jazbas in a tourny before, so hes probably more of a nemisis than pet Best Starcraft 2 player in SEA?: in terms of results i dont know how anyone can argue that mOOnGlade isnt the best, but in terms of skill i think PiG Mafia Tgun and mOOnGlade are all very close, if i had to chose one i would chose Tgun, i always have the most trouble when i play him compared to the others, though i have not played against Glade very often Favourite Starcraft 2 player in SEA?: Light, the protoss hope ! Best Starcraft 2 player in the world of all time?: NaNiwa
Bonus Question: Why did you give up competitive sports?
I played Canoe Polo at a high level, i won multiple Age group Gold medals at national competitions, i was never good enough to make a NZ age group team, but was close to that kind of level, i had to give up when i moved to wellington, palmerston north was the korea of canoe polo for NZ, so when i moved to wellington the skill level was a lot lower, in Palmy i was training twice a week with 3-4 members of the NZ team, while at first i got dominated every game and training session, i learnt very quickly from them.
In Wellington there is no such system, and a lot of politics between the runners of it (wellington had a board that argued a lot and no one liked, in palmy 1 guy ran it and ran it well.) Eventually Wellington had no teams in the national competitions, so i had no choice, Also its expensive to travel a lot, and there is no money in it.
